Doll hair reroot: Disney Store Merida from Brave

Hey everybody!
Today I'll show you how I reroot my Brave Merida doll from the Disney Store in a haircolor that matches her animation a lot better!
The hair I used was long saran hair from www.dollyhair.com.
The colors I used are:
30% Golden Auburn
30% Tangerine Orange
30% Wildfire Auburn
10% Copper Auburn
I rebodied this doll with a pink top Made To Move Barbie body, to give her more articulation

Those curls actually look more movie accurate than those ribbon curls. I mean why are they big curls when Merrida has more kinky hair. Also I would l love to see you do a comparison of the Disney Store dolls next to the hasbro dolls and matel dolls

She looks so much better! Also i love the technique with how you curled the hair. I tried retooting multiple tims but the head and the holes break:( any advice on how to fix it?

Jose Emery there are a couple of possible reasons: 1) your needle might be too big 2) the strands of hair might be too big 3) the head might be too hard In the last case, you can dip the head in warm water to loosen up the plastic! To fix the holes you already made, you can take some super glue and when it dries well, you can carefully continue rerooting!

Your next disney store reroot should either be Elena of Avalor or Giselle, for Elena you can use Moana's old made to move body

The Doll King yes! I'm planning for both of them! I checked Moana's made to move body, but Elena seems to be too red for her, so I might keep that body in case I ever manage to get my hands on Kida!

I usually use 1 pack of the Barbie hanks :). For Merida I wanted some extra volume, so I used like 1 and 1/3 or something!
