LOVE this style of video. It’s VERY helpful to me as a mid level rookie shopper. Last night I found some pennies including the spray sunscreen exactly like those 2 in clearance but they rang full price. I’m not sure of the upc code for the penny ones but I compared the packaging and it’s EXACTLY the same. How odd. Lol

Where do you live? I live in missouriand went to 6 stores over the last 3 days in a 60 mile radius and saw a ton of penny items but nothing has pennied yet.... do you know how far behind we may be then most other stires??

First, make sure your DG app is set for the correct store you’re in. Second, some areas do not penny some items for some reason. I live at the beach, so many pink square did not penny here because those items are used year round.

When I scan items on the penny list in the store it will say out of stock at this store does that mean it's a penny? It's clearly there in my hand. Plz anybody help answer this question for me...please! Thanks

I usually ignore that. I use to think it meant that store doesn’t have the item, but, like you, I would find the item in the store.

If it says 0.00 or 0.01 it's a penny the in stock or out of stock is wrong most of the time

If the item scans in store 0.00 or 0.01 it is a penny. Make sure you have the app set to that store.

Please don't trash the stores when looking for pennies, I just went out to a local store I frequent , and the manager was extremely upset. They said new penny shoppers have no etiquette or manners. It is not fair to trash the store and leave a mess everywhere and all over the floor. This is why you will run into stores with managers who will refuse to sell pennies. I have personally seen penny shoppers trash stores and are greedy. Be kind, be mindful, and have fun. and don't ask employees about pennies. There are rules to penny shopping.

Use Dg wifi. It's free. No I'd or password required. Sign in as a customer. Worked for me at a Dg with no service.

@@misssherithaking I said that to myself when I first started penny shopping. It was going well with the signal, then after they saw me continually scanning, it stopped scanning. I thought do they have a signal blocker 🤣😫

If you go to your settings and click on WiFi. The DollarGeneral WiFi will appear and you can sign onto theirs. It’s up to you if you are comfortable with that, but your phone should work with it.
