You could zip tie the 2 bowls together, that way if the lights die, you can cut the ties and replace the lights and then zip tie them again. Might be easier than trying to pry them apart due to the glue. Just a thought.

or just use the same Stretch Magic cord you use to tie the lights on.

The way you make bows is by far, the best method. I only saw this method once on another crafter’s page and I thought it was the best. Brilliant!

If you use a heat gun to warm up the Plastic it cuts better. Or run a soldering gun alone the edge to give it a track to cut along. Love this project. It’s so pretty.

You're a trip 😄 ... 💗 this DIY. When you said, there's a good reason I don't fold the ribbon ... because, I don't want too ... that was crazy. C/S - Plan to create multiple colors and spray paint the colander. Thanks again, GREAT IDEA and keep being real/funny.

You're so much fun! This is a great idea! Some other ideas... 1) Cut a very small notch out for the lights. 2) Put ALL lights in and use a white extension cord. 3) Spray paint the colander silver first (making sure to only use spray paint made for plastics.

Amber, this help turned out so beautiful! I loved the ribbons you used; they are so bright and pretty. I would love to make a set of three and hang them together at different levels by my front door. I am Revamping our entire front yard this year. Three out e everything I had, so let's go!!! My vision is to do a candy land yard, but we have 2 One Hundred and fifty year trees, so I plan to show off those long branches with over sized balls hanging. This is perfect, but will use on the porch, so no snow get into the collendars. Thank You 😘😘

I love these and ran right back to DT lol only thing I did diff was I made a hole in the bottom colander and pulled my lights through so it could be hid while on fireplace !

That was amazing on how you took two colanders and with the lights , so pretty and thanks for making it so easy to follow . Just to let you know I made one and I love it. I still have 3 more to make. But to cut the sides off I used my wood burning iron and it work great on the side handles. But make sure you have water nearby just in case cause it does get really hot. Just wanted everyone to know it works good. Thank you. You do great work. I love all the things you make. You explain things and show things really good

Well! I am proud two say , I just made two of the colanders with the lights, one for me and one for my friend when I see her on thurs, I am so excited to give this to her and I .plugged them in and they were so pretty and cozy looking , thanks again for sharing this idea and the bow video I had watched and thank u for making it so easy to follow .my husband really like them.
