Thank you so much. I truely am great ful that u showed us how to make this beautiful rug using jute twine, from the bottom of my heart. When I watched this video several months-a yr.ago,it really inspired me to try to learn crochet. I went & found/bought a large hook right away, lol. It took me all this time & almost giving up,(& learning to loom knit 1st,lwhen I became discouraged after another frustrating failed attempt @ catching onto & following a how 2 crochet the basic stitches tutorial,lol)b4 I finally felt comfortable holding the yarn & being able to control the tension & hook, while getting both hands to work 2gether at the same time. Now that I know double crochet & have that muscle memory & good enuf tension,I have come back to this video & am really going to be able 2 make this lovely rug now. I've actually found out about how to make plarn that looks like the jute cord,& hope to try making 1 of these rugs using that. I saved so many plastic bags & plan on trying 2 use my drop spindle to twist the long strand of cut bags looped 2gether into balls of plain that look just like twine, lol. I can't wait to get started soon as I send this,so again THANK YOU SO MUCH 4 sharing this idea/showing us how to make something beautiful & useful,& 4 inspiring me to learn crochet (which has led to me also learning about loom knitting & some macreme & embroidery,& just got supplies to try needle knitting soon as well😅!!!Im def.gonna 👍 & sub.afyer this too😉..Bless you & your family & take care!

I am trying to make a DIY rug and found your video. I’ve never crocheted before and most tutorials using thinner regular yarn are kinda hard to follow for a beginner especially trying to figure out which loop and chain to go into, so watching you do this with jute rope really made it so much clearer and easier to follow. Thank you!

FAQ: How many rolls of twine did you use? Around 5, but the amount you use will vary depending on your rug's size & your gauge. Was the twine rough on your hands? It wasn't as bad as I thought, but you could wear gloves or protect your hands with lotion if you're concerned. How do you wash the rug? I shake mine out and/or vacuum it.

I've seen many of your videos but this one has to be amongst my favourites. Love how the rug came out. It's given me an idea for the bathroom - and I get to use all that jute that would be lovely in cardmaking and it's still sitting untouched! And the big crochet hook that is sitting unused too. Sure it'd be a shame not to try.

I love it and I love to crochet. I have a huge ball of laces, like shoes laces that I'm thinking of using to do this type of project with,(in a circular pattern), I actually started some time ago but because I have been doing other things I have not completed it as yet. It's also a little bit time-consuming since they're not connected to each other I have to stop and tie them together as I go along. I'm currently recovering from shoulder surgery, so watching this is a relaxing therapy for me. Thanks for sharing.

Now I'm doing a lot of DIY house cleaners and spice powders so getting back to crochet is the next step. This is an amazing project I am doing the similar stitches on a weighted blanket for my daughter. And I found that at the end of each row if I went under both loops it made the edges sturdier so it wasn’t so flimsy in pulled apart I don’t know whether that would work the same with Jude or notJust to make the edges more substantial. But I can’t wait to go and get some twine I’ve got the Hook and I will be doing this project as soon as I’m done with my blanket. Thank you and I love your channel.
