We call the make yourself dinner, "Root Hog or Die" night. 😂 My son usually has ice cream on that night, he's 34 years old and can do whatever he wants and I'm usually hurting to bad to cook. I love the pre-written tags to choose from together. If I find a recipe I want to try maybe a tag for something new and if it's good make a tag for the new recipe. Oh I'm really liking this more and more. ❤️

Yes ma'am! In our home it's called FIN night. Fin for yourself, lol. I keep microwavables, sandwich stuff and always cereal on hand. We also have left overs in the fridge often. I cook meals almost every day. So fin night only happens once or twice a month.

Your meal planner would be great for me because it’s simple like the word breakfast, everyone knows basically the foods that consists of. I may make one on a smaller scale because there isn’t much wall space in my open floor plan kitchen. Thanks for the idea and I probably have most everything in my stash. Again thank you.

Not only does it save money, it helps destress. If we have something that needs to be taken out of the freezer for dinner, I don't suddenly remember at 5 o'clock. I can do some prepping during the day if I have the time and am in the kitchen. I can plan left overs so they are used up. What a great idea for putting it all right in front of me (or the cook-whoever that may be) I also love the make your own day. When my daughter was little she decided ice cream coness had the same nutrients as a bowl of ceral with fruit on it. Thanks again.

Great idea for a family. Knowing what is on the menu for each dinner will also allow the kids to help out as they can. For example, if salad is planned they can chop some veggies when they have a few minutes in the afternoon, making it easy for you to finish the meal. Or, if it's soup night they can set the table with only the dinnerware needed for that. Great way to get everyone involved and learn what it takes just to get dinner ready every day and help prepare them for when they live in their own homes.

Great idea!! Mine would be make your own every night since I live by myself. Lol my way to deal with supper every night is to cook 2-3 meals on the weekend and divide them up and put in the freezer. I try to get about a month's worth in a couple weekends
