I work at a party store and for future reference. 11” latex balloons only last about 8-10 hours. Mylars (foil) balloon are usually guaranteed-to last 24 hours but depending on the seal of the balloon they can last a lot longer. I always recommend getting balloons the day of your event.

Your decor was so cute! You can use all your things for a baby shower. I have had ones before and after.Both were really fun and special in there own way.I bet you will have yours before ! I had trouble breathing through my nose with everyone of my pregnancies. The top of my nose felt so stuffy! You look so pretty!!!

If you have the time, you can actually take the green stem part off of the fake flower and glue each petal on top of one another to make the flower. It just makes it look more flat and you can see the flower head on. But again, that’s IF you have the time and feel like putting in the effort. Also, I wanted to mention I do absolutely love the way that hers came out and I love the greenery. It’s just an idea of a different style for those think of making this😁

I helped planned a shower last year for one of my bible study sisters. The majority of our decor and the decor I made were from Dollar Tree. We have much smaller stores, so they don't carry nearly as much as you had, but we saved a bunch of money that way. Continue to stay safe.

Bethany went not have a virtual baby shower. Have family and friends ship their gifts to you by a certain date then you can open the gifts via your live feed. Hopefully there's a way to just have the feed open for those you want to include. You certainly will need the gifts in advance of the baby getting here. You can have a welcome party down the line after the bundle of joy is old enough to take part with guests!

I'm from Chi Town too, but now live in AZ. Wishing you and Matt the best, you're right....stay in and stay safe! I loved your ideas, and quite frankly.....you are so fun and personable. You are a joy to watch, I never miss an episode. Maybe reassess the quarantine situation in a month or two. I've heard people are considering midwives as a backup plan for low risk births, just in case they decide to stay home for the birth if necessary. Just a thought for your arsenal of ideas, but I'm sure you've already thought this out. You're a smart cookie, Bethanny! Take care of yourself!

All the DIY's you made and put together are adorable. Unfortunately I didn't get to have a shower with either of my boys. But that's okay. Come to think of it I didn't get a wedding shower either. Hey, I need to back it up and have a copy of 'showers'. LOL! Having your own shower or party you can get the things you really need. I know it sounds kind of silly. Whem I get invited to showers these days I usually so this as a present. I get a wicker (laundry type basket) and load it up with baby products. Like baby powder, lotion, t-shirts, diapers, crib sheets... just anything I think will get a lot of use, They I wrap each thing individually and put them all in the basket and put pink & blue bows and ribbons on the handles. Come to think of it, at the last shower I went to mine of the only present like this at all. Well, I hope you have a good time at your shower. HUGS, Mary

for my sons baby shower, i did the first DIY with the glass bowls with the blue glass pebbles and added water and the ducky to float on top (i got the ducks from amazon because they were cheaper). i put one of the small square mirrors underneath the bowl and those were our center pieces!! added some blue confetti around the tables and it turned out sooo very cute.

Any party supply store has balloon tape, a long strip that just slip onto the balloon. So easy to use.😊
