That girl. Remember when Donald had a party at Ann’s house and she didn’t have any food for appetizers, so she served peanut butter on corn flakes. It’s really good! I love all those shows. We can honestly say we had the best good ole days.

As a fellow Chicago, and I can say to you with a clear conscience, I never ever understood Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman to me the best person that came out of that show was the actress Mary Kay Place. it was so weird and so strange yet look at the shows that ended up coming off of the show Martin Mull just passed away, and Fred Willard, who passed away a few years before doing that insane takeoff and spoof of late night television in Fernwood tonight. It was pretty goofy now that girl gonna date myself I must’ve been third or fourth grade when she went off the air and the last show was the show where she was deciding whether or not, she was going to marry Donald. Which, of course, at that age was cheering for because of course, at that age playing bride was something we did with Barbies and other dolls and I had a madame Alexander doll that was a bride how my mother ever let me play with that I’ll never never know. But I remember it away and I saw an interview with her on Phil Donahue talk about Chicago, and she explained to the audience that they chose to leave the show like that because the character that she played probably would not have chosen to get married because she would have wanted to have her career. Well, even though decades had passed, I was crushed to hear it.
