I literally Could Cry tears of joy! You don't even know how I have searched online everywhere. 4 weeks on making a balancing scale that actually works. And one that actually looks the way yours does. I went to Lowe's was wandering the store looking at various items trying to see what I could possibly use and hope that I could get it together in my head so it would come to fruition. At Lowe's someone's always asking if they can help you. I spoke with 8 of them. I showed them more than one picture of a balancing scale and explained that I wanted it to work it had to move so that it would weigh things on either side. Nobody could grasp this. I'm not the handiest but I think I would be an asset to Lowe's if I wanted a job. None of these associates are. I even said I what kind of Hardware should I get so that it will move I need wood or PVC pipe or something. One guy even said there's no way you're going to have to put it in the ground in cement it will not stay up it will fall over. He even saw pictures and he said this. Wow! I just watched your video without the volume oh, so now I'm going to go back and make sure it shows are you tell me the hardware I need. Thank you so much for this video! I'm a new subscriber. ️ ❤️

I used all Dollar Tree products to make it, but you could find many of the items at Lowe's or Wal-Mart. The main component to let the scale move would be the screw...be sure to get one that has the "teeth" (grooves) only going part way up the screw. You want the top portion to have that flat surface so there is nothing keeping the scale from moving from side to side. Let me know if you have questions! Thanks for watching!

And it can hold weight because the bottom pieces are made of glass and heavy enough to keep it from tipping!

@@CreationCallsMe I really appreciate it. When I was that Lowe's the one thing one of Thee workers told me I need it was a screw with the nut. Because I was telling them that it needed to move. And like I said showing them the pictures. 😂 anyway I left Lowe's with a screw and a nut or nut and bolt whatever. I went ahead and bought three different sizes LOL anyway oh, it's so funny that you're smarter than all those people at Lowes. So I think I know what you mean about the screw being smooth closest to the head and that's where the piece of wood / ruler would be moving. I'm so excited to make this. My three-year-old I know will love playing with it. Just like you said in the video your kids enjoyed playing with it.

You mean the countertop one? It's a gloss spray paint, and that can of spray paint was newer, so it went on smoother. Several thin coats of spray paint will turn out better.
