One time I read somewhere that dollar store makeup was really bad for your skin. Joke is on them because if their goal was for me to buy super expensive makeup that did not happen. All that happened was I stopped wearing makeup completely!

Oh wow. Half of the makeup sold in dollar tree is also sold out other stores for like three as much. I’m not sold on makeup being bad for the skin. I feel like as along as you keep a good skincare routine and take of your body you’ll be good.

I grabbed the bolero body butter in coconut milk and lavender- it smells beautiful and doesn't irritate my skin! I can't wait to run back to grab the body wash in all the scents.

The coconut lavender just sounds like it smells good LOL. I’ve been avoiding trying this line of products because of the lack of hydrating ingredients but you’re the second person to give it a good rating so I picked up the vanilla honey bean body oil to try it out.

I have been a dollar tree nut lately. I absolutely appreciate the fact you talk about ingredients with the skin care. Never knew the skin care line with pink and green packages would be okay to snag! I may have to pick up the eye cream this time

I’m glad you appreciate that. It feels good to be appreciated 😊. I have very fine lines that are mostly noticeable when I’m wearing makeup. I’ve been using the pink packaged eye cream for two months I think and I’ve noticed my under eyes look less winkled.

Aww, thanks Crissandra. Some of the skincare is good and some not so much that’s why I always read the ingredients. I hate wasting my $1.25 on something that is just filler ingredients.

The Dollar Tree stores near me don't ever have anything. They all have about a 4 ft. space for skincare and they are all usually bare. I have gone to many stores during a variety of times and days, but can never find anything.

That sucks, Cindy. Since I live in a decent size city there are so many locations and even more locations in the suburbs near me that have a lot of name brand things.

Yass, you’re my kind of person LOL. Lavender is the best. As for the lip plump. I love it. The color is great and the tingling was mild to me. It did add a noticeable plump to my lip. I only used it on my top lip because my top lip is bigger than my bottom lip and I was trying to make them even LOL.

I really like how you just stick with the Beauty isles. I've been looking for someone to just do the beauty isles, orr just anything beauty related, even good containers for It's really all I'm interested in pretty much. Also I am a huge dollar tree fan and especially a beauty fan. Growing up there were zero other options financial wise. My parents didn't even drive. Me and my sister or girlfriends would take coins on the city bus and dollar tree beauty was a luxury. I'm still a dollar tree beauty lover by choice and still so very grateful it's an option. I figure even if the ingredient is low on the product, it's something. (Better than nothing) and consistency is key!! Dollar tree has really been stepping up the past year(ish) before then it was just ALWAYS the same old same old. Now I'm really living for the skincare. And low ingredients or not, I've been consistent with all of the newer stuff and even my family agrees!! Beauty tools gadgets etc from $1 tree are A1 and I've always worn the makeup, it's all about artistry,a good eye, a steady hand, a good mirror, a good light, skin prep. 🩷🩷🩷

Aww, thanks. I’m a beauty lover and dollar tree always has great beauty items. Over the years of buying skincare products from dollar tree I’ve learned ingredients trump consistency. And to your point something being better than nothing unfortunately half the time with the skincare products at dollar tree we’re getting nothing 🥹. As a makeup girlie you know skin prep is EVERYTHING and can make or break a beat. I have gotten lucky with the last skincare products I’ve tried and mentioned in the video. Which dollar tree skincare products are you using that are giving you results?

@@charityxstyle 🩷🩷 So because I know the ingredients are so low and ehh I really double up, so once a day either morning or night I will just go layer after layer. I'll start by saying I definitely run on the dry side and I live in Florida almost on the beach, and have to struggle with the Florida ups n downs, humidity, extreme heat most of the year then in the winter barely anyone can stand it lol, So our skin has to really go through a lot! I've learned to also try to hide and protect from the sun as most as possible literally hide from it lol as I'm very pale and the sunburns as a kid were traumatic. So I exfoliate manually and then chemically with a prescription lactic acid, then use different cleansers manually i just play around with whatever cleansers, some from dollar tree, like the dermasil scrub one i really love and the olay cream cleanser knockoff one (red set) and then the acual skincare that i truly do see a difference with is a combination of just layering it all thinnest to thickest products. The noticable difference I've experienced over the past couple of months is my wrinkles got sooooo much better, hardly noticeable, there really plumped up now and my skin tone has evened out, my skin is very soft and clear, and I really do attribute it to the dollar tree skincare, the blue collagen set, the pink watermelon set, the "Olay" set, the "Neutrogena" knock off set, all of them. I'm really shocked! The daily use I think is so important, exfoliating and shaving my entire face too (about once a month) and then after all my skincare is on and sealed in there I seal it with either Vaseline, cereve ointment, cereve cream, Egyptian magic, just whatever you have that's thick that will really seal all that in. I'm mostly home in this season of life, but if someone just did this kind of routine every night I really feel you will experience what I've experienced as well. I just turned 31 and Ive been going a little freaky about aging and I have been under so much tremendous stress and depression these past 2-3 years so whatever I can afford to get my hands on and lather on has really been so helpful and really atleast it's something, I can afford to go into dollar tree from time to time and replace, I cannot afford to go into Walmart or anywhere else for that matter and keep up a full routine. The nicer creams I have I've collected over time my mom's allowed me to get them off of her insurance benefits allowance, so that's a good little cookie too!! Take advantage of those insurance catalogs!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷 I appreciate dollar tree and what there offering is so so so much, before when they didn't have this better skincare I could only load up at tax time from Walmart and prayed it lasted me the whole year..... It wasn't very sustainable. 🩷🩷 Thanks for the chat 🩷 I also noticed on ALOT of the ingredient lists that yes for instance niacinamide would be lower on the list but there aren't very many ingredients to begin with, so I think there's a difference in if the "good" ingredient is last on the list and there's 20 ingredients above it then it's definitely washed out , but if there's only 8 ingredients anyways and the "good" ingredient is the 6th then that's still pretty potent, if you know what I mean, the ratios of it matters and one other thing is you can have two exact products but maybe the one products ingredients are more pure then the other. ALOT of these products are being made in the same labs, the same factories, just slapping different labels. They are hitting all audiences . In the makeup industry for instance there's actually only about 7 top companies that own every brand. The only stuff I personally avoid is the temu, shein,wish, I just don't know about trusting those online places sanitary wise, regulations wise etc but I think these products at dollar tree are being manufactured right beside the real thing...... Let me know your thoughts it's a super interesting industry for me and one of my biggest hobbies in life next to my faith journey. I love learning research etc. I'm a little obsessed with beauty & a little obsessed with Jesus 😉😉🙏🙏🙏🩷🩷
