I hate to burst your bubble; but you cant see axolotls in the river they originate from very often anymore; its become polluted and isn't the right climate for them. They're also hard to spot as they're a muddy brown in the wild!! Thankfully some of the villages have preserved axolotls and you can find whole axolotl aquarium and breeding centres that preserve the species domestically!
