FYI, the 1st glass candle holder if you flip it remove the sticker at the bottom ,you can use that part for taper candles as well. I bought two last year and have them on my entryway table. ❤

I run some masking tape along the bottom of the candle. My mom used to use scotch tape and tissue or paper towel. Wouldn’t you figure the candle and candle holder companies would get together and create a universal size for both to fit firmly together? I mean how hard can it be?

They do make small buttons of soft wax that will hold the candle straight.

Hack for the acrylic paint pour: the wood canvases fit SNUG over the Scotties tissue box (Dollar Tree) I kept an old one and threw a soup can inside so it was heavy enough to not fall over when you hit it with the blow dryer. Your fingers stay paint free and you can hold the box to move everything around!

Great job on the paint pour! For paint pouring, put a little of each color in a dosing or disposable cup and add 2 or 3 drops of silicone and a drop of dish soap. Makes the paint form "cells" that are gorgeous! Give the cells time to grow as the paint dries. And yes use the dryer or just swipe across the surface with a damp folded paper towel. Spray the dried art with clear coat and it will protect your art.

I use a hair oil with dimethicone for cells. Same effect as other silicones, but your painting smells good, too!😃

My grandchildren got a game for Christmas that has 4 sets of "tokens" needed to play. Once you pop them out there is no place to store them. Those little metal containers are the perfect size and fit just right into the game box. Excellent finds!! Love the tin can idea for my supplements and the dry powders for my smoothies. What about putting some black fabric in one to clean off makeup brushes or put all of your rings, earrings, etc that go with the outfit you’re wearing the next day? Definitely love the ice cube trays!! It’s difficult to use an entire can of tomato paste, garlic bulbs, small amount of herbs, so on when you only cook for one. My mind went crazy with what I can freeze, put in freezer bags, no longer having to throw stuff away, and I’ll totally save money!! They’re also great for baby food!! Not sure if it’d work but what about putting water and a floating candle in the glass votive candle holders? Love the flyaways gel!! Gotta see about finding that.

For the candle situation....I wrap a strip of saran wrap around the bottom of the candle to hold it in place (position it low so you don't see it)....in my brass candle holders I use foil.....you have to play with it to find the right amount for both........works every time!!! NEVER had a candle tip over! 😁

Haven't finished watching this yet but you should've picked up a mesh garment bag to put those microfiber cloths into for wash day. Those suckers grab on to everything in the dryer! I drop mine into a garment bag every day after using then drop the bag in with the rest of the towels on wash day. This way they get washed & dried in the bag, staying contained in there. They are the best thing in today's video (so far....)!!

Way back in the 80's I went to this 99 cent store and all the prices ended in 99 cents !! I bought a 2 piece bathing suit for $9.99 for a party because I forgot mine. I never used it that night but I still have it. I found it going thru my things. It still fits !! I use it a lot now !! It's white with red Hawaiian print flowers on it. I love that suit !! The covered ice cube tray can be used for freezing lemonade, tea, coffee, juice and use in your drinks instead of plain water. Or freeze your herbs, crushed garlic or ginger in the freezer. You mentioned storing your sofrito, I'm assuming homemade. I have a friend and after he makes sofrito he fills the small food containers you can buy. I think these ice cube trays would be so much easier to stack & store. How about putting acrylic paints or watercolor in them. When you take a break it would be easy to cover your paints so they don't dry out or spill. So many ideas to use them. As long as the metal tins are food safe you could store spices in them. We use to buy round rubber rings to hold tapper candles snug.

I use washcloths as hand dryers all the time. Didn't want to get my hand towels all messy. So picked up packages of washcloths on the cheap for me, but when company comes over, I have nicer ones to use lol. I trolled my small Dollar store the other day and got some small plant trellises and a couple plant hooks I can stick in my larger pots and put the hummer feeders on them. Those things normally are expensive but $1.25 each! 💝

To do paint pour you pour it in a cup in layers in cup.Then you pour it over the canva, use the blow dryer over it to dry it. The votives are looking bougie. You can stack the little ones too. The dusters are fantastic. When the pandemic started I used the micro fiber towels to santize with homemade sanitizer. I also use ice trays for my sauce and sofrito for sure. I used to sell Party Lite Candles for the taper candles, you melt the bottom of the taper to drip some wax to set it in place. Always trim your wick at a 45 degree angle before lighting.

The microfiber clothes can also be used instead of paper towels. We cut them in 1/2 then in 1/4. On the counter we stack them in a repurposed wood tissue box. I removed the bottom on the box and stood it on the smaller end. Looks great.

Hey Viv, they make this waxy sticky pliable stuff you can buy that comes in a tin that's specifically for steadying your taper candles. You scoop up a dime size amount with your finger, stick it in your candleholder then smoosh your taper into it and your candle will stand up straight.

Back in the day we used to use a bit of aluminum foil wrapped around the bottom of the candle to hold the taper candles. Wax paper or plastic wrap will probably work too.

Glass stuff at dollar store is gorgeous. My mom would pick up stuff and I have most of it and these pieces she got years ago so nobody has seen theses glass wear stuff before. With tapered candle little piece of that museum putty stuff works great. Or that blue poster stuff.

Marinara sauce or pizza sauce for garlic toast pizza's made in the air fryer. Lightly toast 2 garlic breads on each side. While doing this pop out 2 sauces and melt in microwave at 1/2 power. Cover lightly toasted garlic toast and with sauce, add mozzarella cheese and mini pepperoni or veggies. Cook for additional 3 minutes. Watch it so it doesn't burn.
