The Maus is available till November 7th. No big deal if you miss it, the next year anniversary Maus will be back again ;) Honestly I feel like they should put it back in the tech tree. Right now bombs aren't that dangerous (almost feels like planes are waisting them on the Maus lol ), and it can bounce/survive rockets, heat rounds, even APFSDS if you angle. I bounced so much in this video, I didn't even bother doing "the bounce counter ", just too much lol

I suspect they nerfed the Sturmtiger projectile that is like some 250kg bomb and because WT is after 10 years a program cluster cluck, the damage mechanic seems connected to bombs. Interconnection like when they nerfed the death conditions for Ka-50 (counter rotating rotors make a cut of tail less dramatic than for other helicopters), suddenly we had a 15 sec forced J-out timer in Air RB and even if we could land our damaged plane on the airfield, the game force bail out us on the airfield . The airfield "bug" is still present to what I have experienced recently.

remember, the front turret is weak, if you're in big danger angle excessively. the best angle is about 55 degrees, which looks like way too much, but it just works.

Don't forget that Maus' 75 mm has its own dedicated gunsight that you can access through the secondary weapon keybinding. Also, you made the right decision there at the end of the video - if you come across someone behind your gun in the Maus, don't try to immediately turn towards them - keep your armor angled and wait for their reload

That last fight made me want a game mode where you're in a Maus and you have to escort somebody in a little tiny tank with a bunch of also tiny tanks stopping you. They have no way to pen you, but they can kill your VIP like any other tank. You have to get from point A to point B, enemy team has unlimited respawns (you do, too, but you shouldn't be able to die anyways.) Done right, that sounds amazingly fun.

I always take some 122 and 128mm HE shell with me when playing big bois, since they can sometimes be used to overpressue tanks that can't be killed with AP from the front.

I love when people say the Maus is not surviveable or even viable at its BR, because of HEAT-FS and rockets, but they seem to forget that HEAT-FS penetration is very unreliable and rockets only deal damage at the place of the impact, the spaced armor the Maus has on top of the 20mm plates inside the tank according to the wiki makes sure you rarely lose more than 1 crew member from a rocket. And as you shown, APDS can be trivialized with proper angling, especially when you angle against a building to make a beautiful 45 degree of angle. Hell, some tanks can't even do anything against it, I dreaded every encounter with it at 7.7 USSR, because I haven't researched the 3rd and 4th tree, therefore none of my tanks could pen it. I was literally playing a horror game anytime a Maus was present. I do wonder, why do you not use the round with the highest velocity for maps requiring sniping? I know that has significantly less explosive filler, but the better velocity should help alot with long-range engagements.

I got my maus yesterday, and the stock grind was HORRENDOUS. But now i got most of its modules, and i must say it slaps. It can annihilate almost anything with its 128 and the 75 is great for mopping up light armor and tracks. I only have one problem with it though, why is it 7.7? The amount of times i got killed by apds heatfs and atgms is awful. If it was 7.3 or 7.0 i would say its Perfect. But as of now its still a solid 8/10.
