Aww, I am so happy that I can be of some sort of help to pass the difficult time. 2020 hasn't been kind to many of us and I really hope things will be much better soon! I miss my sister so much as well but with the global pandemic, we don't feel safe to travel and see each other. Hopefully soon in 2021!!

It really was a blast! My social anxiety was through the roof but there's always something so magical about just being the room with people that enjoys the same thing as you do. Do you also collect pins? If so, I really hope I'll have my pin trading book ready when/if we cross paths. One of my "mini goals" is to trade with pin collectors who watches my channel when we meet in person - so it's like we're taking a little thing of memoir

You're so right! My trader pins are very small but someone might be looking for it. It was my first trading event and I was so shy about it but hopefully, I'll be able to work up some courage in the next event :D I didn't include it in the video because the event coordinator lady asked not to, but I recorded a quick pan of the event hall to show how quiet and safe the environment was to my husband. After I showed it to Ryan, he was impressed and said he'll try to come with me for the next event. Not sure if he'll ever collect pins but it's always exciting to have someone in your life wanting to take a part of something you enjoy ^^ Thank you so much for your kind words. You really made me feel more confident about showing my trading book the next time I go

I feel like the older I get the worse my social anxiety gets, so I understand how you feel. I used to be a teacher for kids aged infant to school age, its very stressful but rewarding. Glad you had a good time at the pin event.

I’m glad you shared this, I haven’t had the experience of pin trading. When I went to Pax East there’s opportunities to pin trade but I also was too shy to partake or approach people. I understand how you feel lol. Yes that Charlotte pin looks so cute! I love nick and Judy too! Wherever I travel wether it’s a museum or tourist sight I look out for the pins in the gift shop. It’s fun :) I have a state park pin, army pins, art museum pins....

Oooh! I didn't know that they have pin trading events at PAX. Not that I think I'll be attending any big conventions like that any time soon, it's still good to know that there might be opportunities for when I attend in the future. I think I would've felt too shy as well though. The only place I felt comfortable was at Disney Parks but hopefully, I'll start to get comfortable at these little trading events as well soon!

Woah, I had no idea you were at this event! I didn't see you there! I love these events. (: Don't feel too shy about your pins! A lot of people are just there for the fun of trading and interacting and will usually try to find something from your book for the pin you want as long as it's a fair trade.

There's always next time! I plan on going to 1-2 trading events a month so maybe I'll run into you at one of the events :D I also haven't shown my orange hair on this channel before so perhaps you didn't recognize me with different hair and a mask? lol I also went so close to closing time of the event as well. I did notice how so many people were nice and patient while looking through each others' trading books. Next time, I'll definitely muster up more courage to hand them my book to look to trade

Glade you had fun. We have a pin group in my state and we meet once a month. We all know each other and talk Disney. This year we haven't been able to get together but have a Facebook group so we keep up with each other and trade there.

That is awesome! I'd assume there are pin groups for different states. I haven't looked to see if there're any groups for pin collectors in New Hampshire but it'd be neat to go to one when the whole pandemic is over and I am visiting my family. Are you trade meets similar to the one I went/experienced? (As far as having vendor and trade tables and such)

You can’t trade fantasy pins in parks, as a old pin collector try to get pins with Disney stamp on the back.

pin trading is fun and scary. I usually stick with cast members because I don't really know how much pins are worth. Someday I will do a real trading event though!

oh also, don't worry about showing your pins. Some traders will make a trade with you even if they don't "need" any of your pins if they know they will be able to trade what they get for something else later. Blind box pins are great because people are trying to complete sets.

I used to trade with cast members when I went to park but I realized a lot of pins on cast members lanyards are fakes due to guests buying fake pin lots off of ebay and trading them at the park. The cast members are not allowed to turn down a trade even if they can see that the pins are fake because Disney believes that ruins the "magic" experience at Disney parks. After learning about this, I went through all my pins I traded and out of all of the ones I've traded with cast members, only 1 was authentic. The rest were all fake or scrappers.

I still love thrifting but just haven't found favorite thrift stores here in Florida yet. However, there are more antique stores here than there were in New Hampshire so I might have antique-ing videos from time to time :) Charlotte (aka Lottie) is Tiana's best friend from Disney's Princess and the Frog.
