I'm the president of a PTA at an elementary school and we have 40 under privileged families this year oppose to the 5 we had last year. We just finished our food drive and now starting our warm clothes & toy drive soon for those families. Our area is not the greatest, so we don't get a lot of participation for these kinds of events, but we always do our best to make the holidays a little better for the children we have in need. It's so nice to see you giving so many toys to those who really need it and it warms my heart knowing that there are still people out there who care so much for these children :)

there's also inititatives like operation christmas child where you put as much as you can in a shoebox and give it to a child in need - you fill out a form of the age range your items are for and they get passed on to children in need around the world. :) so many cute toys that your donating lastic!

I love what you and your sister did. It's really a lovely initiative. I would take part in something like that, but our Toy's are us doesn't make it (I'm from Poland by the way). But in my town 3 schools are making something else. Last year when we started to gather sweet for the orphanage I asked if it wouldn't be nice to let the kids write a letter to Santa and we could make their wishes come true. The other teachers found my idea cool and so it started. This year we are doing it again. Each class becomes a letter as well as few teachers (like me for example ^^) and we doing or best to buy those kids nice gifts. Last year we even said the children in our shool that they doesn't have to buy something really expensive but they wanted to share so much that they didn't cared what we said :) And this year some teachers even asked me if we can do this again :)
