Julian,yes she was "sleeping" between skits.There was a delay as the tapes found the next song.Her mouth(as all movements) were controlled by air pressure and cylinders.The tapes played the music as well as told which cylinder to move. In this skit,she mentioned her fourth husband,Joe.Her first husband was named Nolan.That was a pun towards Nolan Bushnell,founder of Chuck E. Cheese.-John

Ben Grout Because CEC doesn't like money and instead is trying to get rid of all that made CEC great, and is trying to push their shitty Disney mouse on us. I prefer the original Chuck E, the rat from Jersey. I will never consider modern day Chuck E Cheese to be the real Chuck E Cheese. When my dad took me to Chuck E Cheese when I was a teen, I had a blast. Now most of the arcade games are crap, and it just seems very quiet compared to the old days.

Me being a kid back in the early 80's, there was a Chuck E. Cheese in my area and one of the showrooms featured Dolly Dimples. Whenever I visited Chuck E. Cheese, Dolly Dimples showroom was always empty or seldom used and whenever there was people in there to see her, it was always a Little Girls Birthday Party. Most of us guys wanted to see "THE KING" Elvis Presley or Chuck E. Cheese in the Main Showroom Lounge.

Dolli (or Dolly) is no longer used. she was cancelled in the 90's or early 2000's if I remember correctly. The back rooms at most Chuck E Cheese's aren't big enough to house an animatronic her size (Although I have only seen 2) and as said before, she is made mostly from cloth, and sometimes latex and such, including her teeth.
