Being Pakistani Punjabi in my childhood, I always found these folk songs very fascinating n musical but never knew about its origin . Now few months back when I got to know about Surinder Kaur Sahiba, I have no words to praise her talent n simplicity with utmost professional greatnesses. At the moment I live in Australia. I heard singing of Madam Surinder Kaur alongwith Pushpa Hans and the Legendary Singer Asha Singh Mastana almost 50 years back when there was a programme of fonk singing in our area Kucha Pati Ram, Bazar Sita Ram, Delhi-110006. I think it was a independence day celebration.or a victory programme of some MP of our Chandni Chowk constituency. The memory is still fresh in my mind. But i am feeling sad to learn the sad demise of these legendary singers. Wahe Guru Wahe Guru Wahe Guru
