WHAT IF DOLORES HAD HER CONCEPT POWERS?
In this alternate universe Dolores not only has the gift of enhanced hearing but she also has the ability to play any musical instrument. Dolores’ concept designs often showed her playing instruments like the guitar, piano and harp so this was definitely an early idea for her power. I took this concept and combined it with her final gift from the movie for my alternate version of her. I adapted her concept powers for this alternate universe and added some rules on how this gift works alongside her enhanced hearing. In this universe Dolores’ hearing ability allows her to pick up and easily learn any instrument so the two gifts work hand in hand. She is able to play these instruments and withstand any loud noises that are created by them. She is also able to channel the power of any sound waves that are produced from her music regardless of whether it comes from an instrument she is playing or her own voice. Any sound Dolores makes doesn’t affect her sensitive hearing. Isabela revealed and shamed Dolores for loving Mariano and not standing up for her when she was forced to marry him. Now Dolores has grown tired of being silent. She is ready to let Isabela and the rest of her family know what she really thinks about their broken household. With all the secrets she knows, Dolores is the only one who can expose the Madrigals for what they really are 🎸🔊
This song is part 3 of the Encanto Alternate Universe Mini Series that I have created within my main Alternate Universe Series. This mini series follows one alternate timeline in Encanto that started with Isabela's first Alternate Universe Song where she married Mariano. This event has a cascading effect that leads to the breakdown of the entire family. The dimming light of the miracle candle has a different effect on the gifts of the Madrigals in this AU Mini Series. The candle keeps their gifts stable so when it starts to dim, their powers begin to spiral out of control instead of fading away like they did in the movie🕯️🦋

To be fair , he and his little bro kinda love their powers and have fun with them. Maybe it's because he's not old enough to take on more responsibility, maybe because he is a boy, but most likely it's because unlike Isa who has so many expectations, Dolores who can't control her powers (and whom the family is undoubtedly always begging for tea from), they probably just haven't been asking Camillo to do anything he wouldn't want to anyway. He's mischievous but also good natured.

Oh. That a good point I guess. Never really thought about that. But to be fair, some of these aren’t exactly accurate to the original movie. Think the first Isabella song she made, Mariano and Isabella got married, which doesn’t follow the continuity of the original movie. This means realistically anything could happen, and maybe Camillo being a pretty prevalent part of this song could help lead into that twist.

So, Camillo used his ability to manipulate Dolores into quieting down again and trying to keep the toxic peace. Which is understandable on both sides; Dolores can finally shout everything she's been feeling without remorse and everyone else wants to save the town...and their eardrums, similar to how Dolores acted when there was too much sound.

The fact that Camilo tries to reason with Dolores through Mariano is so subtly tragic. He's her brother, but he doesn't believe that she'd listen to his reasoning the way Isa did with Mirabel. Instead, he uses the form of this man that she admires from afar, rather than his own form as her younger brother, as someone who might personally understand. It really highlights how comfortable he is with being somebody else when he feels like he isn't enough.

Honestly, I would love to see this turned into a full series where every gifted Madrigal gets a villain song. Every one of them deserves to finally snap, turn on the family and share their problems. Maybe Bruno could be next up after Pepa? And when everyone has said their piece, it’s finally Mirabel’s time to be unleashed. She shares her own problems, being the undervalued “powerless” Madrigal, but mostly yells at Abuela on behalf of the rest of the family. And that’s what causes the candle to go out and the house to collapse. And then the series ends with Abuela realizing how badly she messed up, and a sad piano ballad where she apologizes and explains her actions.

So, we're just going down who's been hurt through the family. I love the idea but can't decide which one I want to "win" the "most hurt kid" of the Madrigals. I believe if MilkyyMelodies goes this route, I would want to see either Camilo or Julieta to "win". Camilo because in the movie he doesn't have a lot of not even talking time but scene time as well, and Julieta (who I feel should totally get it) because remember she's a triplet yet she looks years older than her siblings especially Bruno, with him living in the walls and whatnot. She only looks like that because she's basically making food 24/7 for not only her family of 13/12 (when Bruno left) but the whole village as well in case somebody gets hurt. They both give out the energy of their placement of siblings too! Julieta is the eldest of the trio, so her job is obviously supposed to care for others is implied through her gift. Camilo is the middle child, so he's ignored and seems only needed when it benefits others. THE END. :) I also wanted to mention that I like the different kinds of waves that Pepa and Felix give small Dolores. Pepa screams "just do it, you don't have a choice", while Felix's is "it's okay you can do it" vibe to it

I spent the entire video hoping that at the end Mariannо would come up to Dolores and talk some sense into her, because only he could do this. But he just stood silently and looked at Dolores like she was a monster, not even trying to somehow influence the situation. I don’t actually wanna see Pepa scold Dolores for giving the tea about the family but I want her to scold about hurting Camilo and Antonio and then to finally stand up to Abuela and then to have a duet with Bruno plus I want her to somehow comfort Dolores like I know the worst thing you can do infront of your mom is turn emo but I would like to see Pepa giving the vibe of “can’t do the guitar without the right outfit” and to Mirabel to comfort Dolores in between this and that especially knowing that since Pepa is upset Camilo and Mirabel being there is honestly comforting. I’ve been waiting for this ever since Isabella’s vilain song I was saving it from the moment I saw Dolores with the gorgeous design and my expectations got fulfilled great song and greater animatic from a great channel.♥️ ✨10/10✨
