I replied to your other comment as well, but no reservations necessary! If you show up 20-30 minutes before hand you’ll be fine!

Do you know if they are planning on opening the other exhibits next month?

Most of the exhibits are open now. The ones that are still closed (turtle reef, a few aquariums, and Dolphin Point) are under refurbishment and there’s no telling when they’ll open. But Shark Encounter, Penguin Encounter, and Wild Arctic reopened this past weekend.

@@SoCalDisneyDad I saw there was no trainers in the water with the Dolphins and Pliot Whales is that because of COVID-19.

@@williamiaconetti3499 I think that’s a change after the Dawn Brancheau incident. While that was with the orcas and not dolphins, the policy now is that the trainers don’t get in the water. I don’t recall the trainers getting in the water at all since I’ve been going in early 2019

Do you need to reserve the seats ? Or can I go with a ticket and purchase showings when I get their ?

No tickets or reservations necessary for the shows. You just show up before it starts. The earlier shows (11 AM) don’t have any lines for the most part. But this one was at 1 PM and we arrived 20-30 minutes early. With 10 minutes to go, the place was packed out. So if you showed up at 12:55 PM you wouldn’t have gotten a seat.

Did seaworld San Diego stop going in the water with the dolphins? I’m New at SeaWorld San Diego and just started working here as a dolphin trainer.

No, I saw them in the water with the dolphins in the past 2 months. But they don’t get in more often than they do. Not sure what criteria determines that. But they definitely aren’t allowed to with the orcas. But dolphins they still do on occasion.

I prefer the dolphins or sea lions personally as far as shows go. But this is better than R is for Rescue.
