Spectacular overview of the landscape as usual with your videos Olivier. What's all that white stuff? The local laundry detergent factory explode? 😜Seasons greetings from sunny Australia! 😊

@Olivier-C, I am curious about the motor angle issue you describe at 7:33. Did you mean the motor angle was pointing up, so you had to add 2 washers to make it point a few degrees downwards? I just replaced the motor mount on my Dolphin, so want to make I got the angle right...☺. Thanks.
@Olivier-C Жыл бұрын
Yes that's correct, on my particulr plane at least, the 2 washers were very needed , to get more angle downward. I don't know if that's for all planes or not. (I have a custom carbon plate for the motor mount, and was very cautious to glue it at the exact same angle as the factory wooden plate)

I really like the Dolphin, especially yours... but I'm trying to decide between this and the Strix Goblin (currently on sale) and wondering what your thoughts are on both?

Thanks for the upload. How did you get the paint to not flake off ? Did you wrap or cover ? All my Paints on EPO and EPP foam flake off. even tried sanding , cleaning, or Polycrylic after to seal. Thanks
@Olivier-CАй бұрын
I put some clear tape (50mm packaging kind) over the paint and it makes it last a bit longer, but after a while it's still manages flake off :)

Hi, Please can you remind me, is this Dolphin totally painted and lacquered or did you laminate the wings? If paint/lacquer how does it stand up to bumps and landing in mud? I reaally enjoyed your build videos gave me some sound ideas for a good build. Happy new year, Steve :-)
@Olivier-C4 жыл бұрын
Hi, it's sold the foam naked and white ! mud resistance will depend of the paint, to protect mine it's "laminated" with large clear tape

Hello friend. I'm following your build. I'm a little confused about servos. Did you have to cut the foam on the plane to fit your larger size servos to fit?
@Olivier-C3 жыл бұрын
Yes sometime you have to remove 1 or 2 mm in both dimensions

My build is nearly complete. I want to ask you about the fpv camera placement. Did you have success in mounting it in the end of the nose cone? Or is the notch above the cone the only option ? Thanks

Hi, do you lunch the plane in angle mode? Did you program any switch for higher uptrim on elevator?
@Olivier-C4 жыл бұрын
Yes, angle mode, I don't have a switch, just I put the thumb on the gimbalof the elevator stick in case I need to pull up ! (mode 1)

Another great video O! Thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve been watching your build videos for quite some time now. In your opinion what is the best wing for the $$$? For a beginner? One of your builds that was low on expense but high on fun 🤩. Curious 🧐
@Olivier-C4 жыл бұрын
for a complete beginner with fixed wings, I'd say the Sonicmodell AR mini (60cm) or the "big" AR wing (90cm). Very tough, and a lot of fun to fly. This dolphin is also an excellent plane, but because of the shape and vertical stabilizers and the pointy nose it's probably a bit less durable in case of crashes.

What happens when you get bad motor timing?
@Olivier-C3 жыл бұрын
either the motor is under-performing is the timing is too low, or it's overheating if too high
