First time I heard this song I was laid up in a VA hospital near Chicago Hines VA recovering from being hit in Vietnam. I saw this beautiful nurse and we married a year later. Two kids and four grandkids going on 50 years together with my Flower Girl. I really love this song for the very reason I mentioned.

After all these years this song still touches me. I always tear up when I hear it, especially the part where Bob and Susan sing the background "hello how do you do?", for some reason that line always brings tears, maybe because it reminds us of how polite people used to be to each other. I long for those days.

My sister Toni was in a wheelchair for the 21 years of her life. She died in 1978. She and her friend Stacey saw the Cowsills at the Ohio State Fair two years in a row. It was one of the true highlights of their lives. I'm honored to have her scrapbook that includes backstage pictures of her with her favorite group. They were so nice and considerate to her. For that I will always be grateful. Someday I hope to share her memories and collection with them.

actually its not that simple at all..its way more complex than most modern pop most of which is predictable...this has more interesting chord progressions, dynamic and tempo changes than todays pop.

A song that got stuck in my mind forever in '68. I still can clearly recall seeing this on the usual variety TV fodder, back when variety shows were still a thing. We were so young. Now we're so old and some haven't made it this far. Melancholy. Heavy hearted melancholy for all those years and the people that are gone.

I was 13 years old and I remember the beautiful days with my family, my parents and siblings. Now my parents are in heaven and my siblings are scattered around the world. It's a real nostalgia. For me the best music was between 60 nd 90, after that everithing went downhill. I love this song. The membersc of cowsills look good. One wish the song would sound like does on the album but that is difficult or maybe impossible.
