Development projects currently taking place in Tz are massive. The city looks absolutely beautiful and well planned. Other africa cities should take cue. Legends say that magufuli himself when the project was floated stated clearly that the terminal should also gather for small traders from bicycle bodabodas, taxis, minibuses to big bus companies and surely you can see everyone is benefiting from the project. Kudos to Late Magufuli!

That's true. In the inauguration of the terminal, the minister responsible proposed the name of the terminal to be "Magufuri Bus Terminal". Magufuri refused but after being insisted that's when he gave conditions that for the terminal to be after his name they should incorporate bodabodas, itinerant traders to mama mboga in an arranged manner because it's their tax money that built the terminal.

One of the big projects that have decongested this East Africa's Largest and popular City of Dar es Salaam. Magufuli Terminal is found 21km from City Centre, almost all buses that are destined to Dar es Salaam have to park here or pass here. From Magufuli you can use a BRT bus to City Centre without traffic because they have their own lanes or use a daladala to Mwenge bus stage. Not only Dar...all major cities of Tanzania have such kind of Bus Terminals some have two like the city of Mwanza. This the developed infrastructure we are talking about now. Not just constructing Expressways and such projects that benefit the few like in some countries.

Wonderful job Dar. We need this so badly in Nairobi. I know we can do even better, not having matatus crisscrossing CBD and all our streets past Moi Avenue being loud, cartel- controlled bus termini/ matatu parking. The buses should not go beyond the bus terminal, just drop off/ pick up passengers and leave.

If kenyans can wake up from their slumber they can easily build such big terminal just before kangemi to gather for buses coming from western Kenya and another big one somewhere near thika road to gather for buses from eastern and coast region . Rts buses mainly electric could be allowed to operate between the city and those terminals. That would massively decongest the city roads and lower the air pollution which it seems nobody cares about at the moment.

As of AUGUST 2024, a total of sh 49.8 billion had been spent on this project reaching 97% completion! In the same month of August, the government through the internal revenue of Ubungo municipal council allocated an addition sh 4.6 billion to complete the terminal. I did wonder why some bits looked unfinished, now I’ve got the answer, it’s stil being built 😊

Another great project by Tanzania and Its partners. More safety measures, like clearly marked Pedestrian and loading zones would go a long way. Pedestrians getting too close to moving buses is a recipe for disaster.

When we say the economy of Tanzania is bigger than all in East Africa we mean it, but seems like the IMF gets bribed by some other East Africa countries to mention their GDP as bigger while they don't deserve it. Also, Those small traders were allowed to sell their stuff inside the terminus by Magufuli but i think they should be moved to a specific Area and not inside the terminus.

Kenya has built Mwale City which is the biggest medical City in East and Central Africa in western Kenya, it is complete with a Hotel, golf course, supermarkets Houses and many other Amenities! Tanzanians from Arusha, kigoma and Mwanza together with Ugandans and Burundians go there for medical services!! Have you ever seen a kenyan going to Tanzania for treatment??This is a facility Tanzanians don't have! Imagine if they are insulting Kenyans over a Bus terminus, if they had a medical City like Mwale city the entire continent would not breathe 🤣🤣

@@alexmwingira7267but way back before even these countries gained independent Tanzania have been ahead of all East African countries in term of Economic growth/GDP/quantitative indicator and economic development/ qualitative indicator (was the only one among the best economies of the Continent in all of East Africa) We started to loose our position in early 1980 (effects of Kagera war/ liberation of Southern African countries) we spent a lot of our resources in those missions rather than development.pia kucorrapse kwa EAC ( Tz and UG lost all of their investments) Mara nyingi nachekaga sana nikiona comment za majirani zikijisifia kwa GDP kubwa na kusema kwamba watanzania ni wavivu ndomana hatuna GDP kubwa. Wanasahau 90% ya their state owned companies later privitased ni result ya wizi walioufanya kuiba Mali za iliyokua East Africa community..(Kenya Airways imeanzishwa kwa ndege zikizoibiwa EAC..ndomana laana inaliandama shirika lao la ndege halitokaa lifanikiwe 😅).
