Dolphins In Depth: Can Tyler 'Snoop' Huntley save the Dolphins season?

The Miami Dolphins have formally named Tyler "Snoop" Huntley the starter for Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans. Outside of the quarterback change, the Dolphins will play Monday night's game without the team's Pro Bowl left tackle (Terron Armstead), Pro Bowl tailback (Raheem Mostert), starting cornerback (Kendall Fuller), and leading tackler (David Long Jr.). In this episode of the Dolphins In Depth podcast we break down what all those changes mean to the roster, and whether or not it will drastically impact Miami's performance against the Titans.

The point was, he adds another dimension (mobility and off-script abilities) and that this can be an improvement over what we've been seeing. Dolphins introduced the 3 safety defense past game. It works. Rotates same players so they don't just stay in same area. Three safety has less area to cover. Keeps best players on field due to corner injuries. TN offensive line is garabge. Defense needs to step-up pressure and get sacks. TN QB will give up ball making turnovers that cost games. Happened last two weeks.

Tua is 1-4 in the last 5 7tds 9 turnovers (8ints 1 fumble)and it was okay.. No one criticized tua.. Now everyone wants hundley to save the team with 1 1/2 weeks of practice.. If Tua is not the answer (and even if he comes back, what are the odds he's in the lineup long term), then what's our best other option? Betting on Tua now, with no disrespect to a talented player who is hurt and maybe risking his health if he returns, is like the odds of buying a lotto ticket at 100,000,000 to 1 odds of that working out long term. At best, it's time and just smart to plan the next move.

Someone has been having to "step up" for 50 years. In 1974 the Dolphins beat the Minnesota Vikings in the Super Bowl. What happened to the offense? Even with Tua they've been terrible since the end of last season. The defense can't hold up when they are on the field all the time. The offensive penalties are beyond ridiculous. So frustrating.

If you don’t think that’s a very real call, you don’t know ball. Anytime a white DB is on the field, the whole offense calls that out and they attack them until they either get pulled off the field or prove they belong. Most don’t stay on the field.
