Where did the dolphins come from and why aren’t they in the ocean free where they belong? Why doesn’t anyone ask this question?

From what I gathered reading about the park the dolphins are in semi-captivity with the ability to voluntarily come in and out akin to an outdoor cat.

Born there, from other parks, rescued at a young age, or captured long ago (dolphins haven't been captured in the US since the late 80's) is usually how they got there.
