Fun (less depressing) Fact about dolphins; there's a town in Brazil called Laguna where dolphins have been helping humans fish for about 180 years. The dolphins drive local fish into a frenzy which causes them to swim towards shore and into nets of fishmen, while the dolphins eat any that escape in the opposite direction. This wasn't taught to them, and both humans and dolphins learn how to communicate with signals and signs as to what moves they're about to do next.

And the same thing happened in Southeast Asia. So much so that fishermen believe that specific dolphins only help them and will sue other fishermen they think are getting help from said dolphin. And when Muslims came over and settled the area they had no clue the dolphins were helpful and just treated them like food. I think I remember Casual bringing this up at one point, that its pointless to judge animals by human standards. Especially evil ones. Cause theyre animals. They just do what feels good or feeds them and avoid what feels painful or can kill them, where humans have higher understanding and can tell the difference between right and wrong Also, the more intelligent the animal is, the worse it is to put it in captivity for the purpose of entertainment and money. Sea animals are probably the most difficult given how large their spaces tend to be. But I do think that the more endagered animals benefit from zoos, or at the very least the big preserves to keep hunters and poachers away
