You’re heart must’ve been jumping out of your chest in the stands when Tua was leading that last minute game-winning drive down the field with like 20 seconds left in the game😊. And being there amidst all those diehard Ravens fans, it had to feel amazing to watch Jackson’s Hail Mary drop inches in front of the Ravens’ WR:). What a game to see in person if you were a Phins’ fan it must’ve been! Almost felt like I was watching my Dolphins on TV back in the mid-80s praying Marino would lead us to another 4th quarter comeback (which he invariably did do)😊, something this franchise hasn’t seen since the Marino era, sadly. It’s nice to finally have an offense again to where even if you are down in the 3rd quarter, your QB and receivers are talented enough to not feel like the game is over before the 4th quarter begins.

One of The Craziest Comebacks in The Regular Season I’ve Seen Since The Eagles Giants Game in 2010 As a Eagles Fan!
@otaviofrnazario Жыл бұрын
Here again, watching these highlights as we all wait for the game between both the next Sunday. And this time it's the #1 seed in the AFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs at stake. 31 years since Miami had a bye and iirc no #1 overall in the AFC since 1985. Baltimore had it in 2019. Likely it's a game for Jim ane Tony, but I would love Kevin to be calling it

Tua representing Hawaii! Mariotta also was from Hawaii. For a state of 1.2 million, they've made an impression on the Professional and college stages. I do want to point out that when Hawaii went 12-0 with Colt Brennan (RIP), Mel Kiper rated Colt low and they all accused him of being a "system Quarterback". He can't stay under center, and that he didn't throw conventionally, more side arm. I want to point out that if you look at MOST of the college and Pro teams, they all run the same "system" with 4 wideouts, and the QB in shotgun position. This allows the QB to see the defense better and pick which receiver has the better position against the defense. It was meant to score a lot, and if you notice the scores in most games now, the scores are 30+ as compared to the "conventional" 10 - 0 game. It took the NFL and college 15 years to catch up to the "system" that many people criticized!
@otaviofrnazario2 жыл бұрын
We're still waiting for Kiper to retire after he said that Jimmy Clausen would be the best QB in the league in 5 years in 2010. He said that either he was right or he would retire. That says a lot about him. After all, who the hell is Mel Kiper anyway? As said better by former GM Bill Tobin. About the system, the idea Hawaii and the staff of June Jones had in 2007 was still primitive for the time, they got beaten up by Georgia in the bowl game. Now it's a well developed thing. I agree that they planted the seed though

I mean they went 12-0 against a very weak schedule. Literally got smoked when a team that actually plays defense showed up. Tua on the other hand had been groomed by a much better program where he had to play against teams with almost NFL caliber defense so Naturally hes already much more ready for the pros and it definitely shows.
@hankakah41802 жыл бұрын
@@mcspankem You know how much 3, 4 or 5 star recruits that Colt had on his team? NONE! You know how many 3, 4, 5 star recruits that Tim Tebow has on his team, A FEW OF THEM WERE DRAFTED IN THE FIRST FEW ROUNDS! So don't try to compare apples and oranges. Colt was 70% completion rate in his CAREER including high school, college and Pro! Every 7 out of 10 passes were caught! Let's see how those other QB's do with no NFL prospects on their team. Tua had NFL prospects ALL around him, it's ALABAMA!!
@mcspankem2 жыл бұрын
@@hankakah4180 how is comparing football to football not the same? Oh that's right, it's not the same when someone plays NOBODY goes 12-0 then plays a team that ACTUAL DEFENSE. That's like saying you went 12-0 in sparing then got absolutely dominated in every aspect when you had a actual fight lmao a undefeated season ONLY counts if you win against ranked opponents and the bowl game (17 Boise state that year was the only one and they BARELY won lmao)
@hankakah41802 жыл бұрын
@@mcspankem Because you are comparing the system, to what athletes are available. How do you think Miami beat Buffalo? They were using the same system. They have PRO's in positions where UH does not. I'm saying that put Colt and surround him with pros or same NFL caliber as what Georgia has and that game would have been much closer. Georgia had over a month to pore over each player's routes and offense. I can guarantee that if Georgia had only a week to prepare, they would not have won so easily. Check past victories over other major colleges that UH played against, Big 10, Pac 10, why were UH able to beat them with no 3,4 or 5 star recruits? They have them, why can't they beat UH, especially when Colt was QB? Just answer me this, how many major colleges and pro's use this same system now? That's the argument. Why would they change to this same system that UH ran if it wasn't any good? Really, I want you to check all major college and tell me how many of them now run 4 wide receivers, one back, and the QB in shotgun. Are they playing weak schedules and opponents? Even better yet, tell me what system Geogia is running today?
