dom and the vent hole at copthall

hello, short video looking at the dom position its nose is over land, and the vent hole at copthall , vent number 1 or Barry is looking very smart , looks almost complete, now lets cover it all in mud...... going back soon for a closer er look at it, and the dom in a few days, Tuesday yes Tuesday will be my next visit and will post up some more detailed shots of IT, ohhh just noticed the tunnel has a slight curve as well, guess it sets up the train for a nice long right hander towards the chiltern south porthole , nice one

Why is that vent hole so massive?

The vents were all sized to allow the tunnel to be naturally ventilated by airflow over the landscape mound, rather than use any mechanical equipment on site :)
