Despite a successful career, Kevin Durant has had so much go wrong through the years that has kept it from being even greater.
Here I go through all the instances showing that the basketball Gods HATE Kevin Durant.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Those same meddling, trifling gods gave him everything. They gave him the height of a centre, the handles and speed of a point guard, the shooting of a shooting guard, the athleticism and hand high coordination of the best wing players. What more does he needs from the Gods when they created in him a demi-god. Not even Wilt and Michael in all their glory was thus wonderfully made.

@chrischarles5982 Dude was in the perfect position to beat Golden State Warriors and crown 👑 himself king of the basketball world🌎 . He could have been the monarch of a dynasty in OKC. That's on him, not luck or injuries. One can easily say he tempted fate by taking the easy way out by joining the team that he should have beaten and continue to beat. If he had done that despite any injuries later, we would be saying Lebron who?

As a Suns fan it was the craziest day when KD was traded here to Phoenix. I was just in awe simply because my city has never once had a player on KD’s super star level. Despite that, I kinda knew we weren’t getting the chip last year and I expected this year to go exactly how it’s been going. Super grateful KD is here though, if he doesn’t get his last chip with Phoenix… disappointment is nothing new for The Valley. I won’t take his time here for granted that’s for sure.

For a guy that people were projecting as pushing the top10 All-time list by the time his career was done that's still underwhelming. Heck, he is a CLEAR 3rd amongst the guys from his own "generation" with LeBron and Curry being on a tier above him. Right now players like Giannis and Jokic have resumès basically as good as Durant's, with the only thing that has him ahead so far being stats compiled through a longer career.

It's quite a fucking disgrace that at a point in time KD was winning games in Brooklyn (small win streak, even) with lineups that consisted of him and 4 rookies on the court at the same time while Harden and Kyrie were out but let Durant be injured and none of those two goofballs can stand to hold the team down for a few games. KD has been so unlucky since they traded Harden in OKC. People often disregard context surrounding the rest of his OKC career due to hate. Really seems like he sold his soul for those 2 rings and man, it might've just been worth it in the end.

Disagree that Kawhi's ring was worth more. He joined an already strong team, 'led' them to 2 fewer season wins than the prior year, was out a lot in the RS (played just 60 games) and the Raptors had a better w/l record with him off the court than on. Then it took a well contested miracle shot bouncing around the rim four times to drop to get past Philly.

One more than Oscar, the Logo, Doc, Moses, Dirk, KG, and Kidd. @JJ-mb5kt Only people who don't value winning think rings are worthless. This idea that accepting losing is somehow noble is only popular among people who've never had any success. KD was the best player on a team that won back to back titles which is why he has two Finals MVP's. That you don't value winning is your problem because I've been to the Naismith HOF and Durant's name is on the same wall with the inductees who have championships and that's all that matters.

Rusty Buckets once made the point that the Warriors were such a perfect situation for KD to walk into that he was then seen as perfect by association. After he left, it was gonna be very difficult to replicate his success there because every situation is not perfect. However, due to the hatred he received for joining them, a lot of people were expecting him to MAKE a perfect situation on another team, which was not gonna happen because not every team is the Warriors. I find it stupid that a lot of people are now using his lack of a ring since leaving the Warriors to rewrite his legacy. That's not how it works.

IMO you are complicating something that is very simple. That Warriors team was too stacked, hence people do not respect the rings. We want to see him do it outside of that situation, and he has failed, despite playing with a lot of talent. It has nothing to do with not being able to replicate perfection, other than that if you cannot win outside of a perfect situation, that goes to your greatness

They were the protypical championship team: star power, depth, defense, chemistry, good coaching, etc. Steph was the ONLY SUPERSTAR on the team with Klay and Draymond as co-stars. Their play style pn both ends just made them such an incredible force.

This video ain't it. Winning a championship means everything, but it isn't everything. As time goes on, no one will care that he joined the Golden State Warriors. He has solidified himself as the best scorer of this era and has two finals MVPs to show for it. He makes the playoffs unanimously each year, no matter who you put around him. All NBA teams. All stars. Anything else he does in the game of basketball is just the icing on the cake.

His time for a chip has come due again. Booker and KD are always healthy for the playoffs, and given that this is Beal's first back injury (non-structural too, just a disk that needs some rest from what's been reported), I don't think its super worrying long term. Plus with how the role players on the Suns are performing, I see them as neck and neck with the Nuggets in the West.
