Asking about the favourite food (out of all kinds of food there are) is more like asking for a special point in the domain, e.g. a root. Answering the question would not tell me anything about what you do or don't eat in general. To me the statements "x0" and "x≠0" are completely synonymous, at least within the real numbers (and it can be taken as granted that the domain is within the real numbers, as you seem to be fine with not including this information into the domain in the first place).
