Great work! Glad at least someone is giving Sabonis credit for his incredible season. The west is so competitive this year that people have forgotten about the Kings; they were so fun in last year’s playoffs.

Sadly we will never know. But I agree, a prime Arvydas in the NBA wouldve shocked the US Basketball world! 28/15/6 in the 80's easily... he wouldve given Bird/Magic and a young MJ a run for their money!

Nice, a Post2k vid on my favorite player on my favorite team! Us Kings fans love Sabonis. If he can improve his defense and starts being more willing to score than usual, people will give him more respect, and most importantly he'll be even more valuable to our team than he already is!

Great video! Sabonis is so underrated and under-talked about it's disgusting! I think the fact that he's behind Jokic is a big part of the problem. Jokic is just on another level, but that shouldn't take anything away from Sabonis. But I also think Sabonis' number of TDs this season shows the problem with the triple-double stat. I mean, many of Sabonis' TDs are like 13-14-10. Meanwhile, Jokic has had 30(+)-12(+)-9 many times this season. Usually, the Jokic stat line is much more impactful and, therefore, better. But one is considered a TD while the better one is not. In other words, there can be pretty "bad" TDs, especially if the player has missed a lot of shots and/or played bad defensively.

We call those Sombor Doubles and Jokic really racks em up

The numbers do not support "on another level". Jokic is just better, but not to be on another level. Compare those or rewatch the video.

Sabonis is most versatile NBA player ever
@Smido832 ай бұрын
I agree that Sabonis is underrated. Sabonis should be an Allstar, and this season (with Embiid not available) he should also be on the 3rd Team if it comes to All NBA. They snubbed him out of one thing, lets hope he gets at least the 2nd. He is a great player, but not a Superstar. Cause lets be honest... 70% handoffs on his assists is a bit different from the passes Jokic or Luka do every game. But the biggest problem is his scoring. Yes, he shoots 60%. But he just doesnt take enough shots, specially late in close games, to be a true Star. So to say it short, yes, he is underrated. No, he isnt a true Superstar. With him as the best player, Sacramento will not win a chip. I would even argue that Fox is more important in PO games then Sabonis... not the better overall player, but more important.

After watching this video, went back and watched your Luka MVP video. In this video, you also showed Jokic's incredible number of OWS, and I would like to point out that Jokic is 5th in defensive rating this season, and Luka is nowhere to be found, showing why Jokic should be MVP

A triple double with 11 pts is not that good. Sabonis is the king of minimal impact triple doubles.
@michaelbietsch28642 ай бұрын
I disagree that he's overrated. Someone on twitter tracked the assist type of prolific passing bigs (jokic, sengun, bam, sabonis etc) and 46% of Sabonis' passes are handoffs. And dont get me wrong, its still creating offense, but his assists are massively inflated. There is a 3 minute reel from just the month of march where hell hand it off, then stand still and watch the reciever take 3+ dribbles. There was one assist he got that was truly egregious. I believe it was vs the mavs, he had a tap out on a defensive rebound that ended up in davion mitchells hand, who was inside the 3 point line, davion then sprinted all the way down the court, weaving and dodging defenders, scored, and sabonis was credited with the assist. As for his rebounding numbers, again, he's still getting the rebounds, which has value, but those too are inflated. Compare him to Jokic for example, who has multiple good rebounders along side him. Sabonis doesn’t, and part of that is by design because they like to have hin grab and go like russ used to, but the difference is, among the top rebounders in the league, sabonis has by far the highest uncontested rebound%. Hes still a good rebounder, but leading the league is misleading. Im not saying sabonis is trash, but he is a fringe allstar kind of guy, not a star. And that's okay, it's still better than 80% of the league. Although I will be a hater for a second and say him being 6th in mvp odds is egregious. Guys like Brunson are EASILY more deserving
