This seems like a more sane approach than some that I've seen. No flying 2 feet from the ground, or through a hole. Still a thrill, but a much better chance of living for the next jump.

Anybody else find themselves tensing up their hands/arms trying to make sure our mans didn’t hit the rock. I swear I felt my left hand skim the rock on that fly by and then realized I have no control but the video is so perfect it makes you get a real feel for this insane experience! Thanks for sharing

Big pleasure to watch! For me it took some time, many repeats, highest resolution, and slowest speed to find the orientation between all these gorges, pillars, crags, and smooth plates. Ok - my visits were between 25 and 50 years ago. Beside the requirements for your flight you had enough time to orientate in this maze of rock?

Hey;) horizontal distance was about 4km, the exit is at 3340m ASL, landing at about 1450, so about 1900m of flyable altitude (including canopy ride;)

@@Jim-be8sj Oh, I never did any base jumping myself, but watching this one I was leaning over! I did 132 jumps back in the early 80s before I crunched a vertebra and got an inch shorter, but since then I've done zip lines, the sky jump off the stratosphere tower in Vegas, and six flights aboard a rocket plane that I helped build. It makes me appreciate the sheer insanity of these wingsuiters doing proximity flying. Scares me and I'm fearless!

Didn't have GPS with me, so I can roughly guess... Was strong thermaly close to the wall, so I think something between 1:3 - 1:5

Wow! That is a 1 minute 54 seconds BASE flight from feet leaving the earth to chute being pulled. Anyone know of any video of a longer base flight? Based on the numbers this glide ratio is only about 3.0 average, so there should definitely be more videos like this (if more people cared about having a nice long flight instead of just a short fast one)

Yes, shown complete journey start to finish with no interruptions, distracting music or editing. Showing the friend jump also showed the preparations/process of jumping. Very enjoyable.

you´re right, it was a slow glidy flight, knowing the length of the southface of about 3km I didn´t want to use too much of my potential energy at once

Although appreciation of the scenery was nonstop, I spent most of my time in this video marveling at the distance you can gain from wingsuits. The ratio of how far you travel with/without one must be in the *thousands* to one! What a time we live in! 🥰 Thanks for the video!
