This is such a wonderful drama! I did not find any parts boring at all. I really loved Zhan Yu (Qin Chen) portal as the young super hero. He was so cool, calm, and collected as the ML. Nie Feng is a slightly more different series. Same premises where he gets reincarnated but this one Qin Chen is like a God among Gods and is betrayed by his lover whereas Nie Feng is just a normal cultivator who was hunted down and ‘killed’ by rival families/sects. Plus qin chen masters all three: martial arts, alchemy and formation. I don’t remember NF knowing the same. And he progress a lot slower plus doesn’t garner the respect that QC gets. Plus QC has a more dorky but arrogant attitude

The animated version of this is called Martial Master and it’s already passed 400 episodes. There would be over 10 seasons of this drama if they wanted to tell the full story.

No, it's pretty bad. I'm not talking about the production value, it's the "telling" part I don't know if the book is the same. Tv series often "tell", the viewer it's very cringy. instead of showing how powerful the character is, they slip in a dialogue "Oh the character is this level, he is so invincible." and this is repeated all over the series. It's a hallmark of poorly written script.

I saw the profile of the male lead in mydramalist and it said he's still working under some dramas and has already signed up for other dramas till July i don't think they will be renewing this till 2025 since it's low budget some workers might hesitate to work in this project again . I hope they increase they budget in this drama , because their are many high budget successful dramas that don't have good storylines atleast this one's decent and actors and actresses did really good job.

Since china begin to tone down thier strict censorship about fantasy genre more and more animation donghua were being produced and released into live version adaptation like blood of youth (the great journey of the teenager), snow eagle lord, immortality, the kings avatar, the untamed (mo dao zu shi), the great ruler, and i do think in the popularity of the manhua and donghua animation more and more live action content will be produced and am loving it.
