@@Klassikhuhn in mom's defense: people also usually say that when it IS just a phase (: What I never stopped loving (besides the beats and melodies, making the hair on my arms stand up and my heart beat faster)...; The more extreme the music; the more genuine and welcoming are the people. "You are here... Choosing to enjoy this ungodly noise that we love...? You're cool in our book." Works the same with death metal, grindcore, black metal, hardcore punk, etc etc. The harder the music, the warmer the hearts. Hardcore is like.. One of the only genres that make my brain shut up and calm down. That lets me focus on just the music... ONLY the music. (The other is the 'new' hard techno movement. For me, it's similar to certain songs on Thunderdome 1 and 2 ('early' hardcore / gabber). Some fckn bangers in there as well 🔥🤘🦄)

Personally I really loved the aesthetics of the main stage, which seemed more *post-apocalyptic* than pirate-themed, something that symbolizes a new beginning, with less evil and fear in the world and in this (sometimes) poisoned society, and more love, art and especially: *music* 🎶. Thanks for everything Dominator, it was an incredible edition with a brutal sound! 💥 See you next year for more amazing memories! 💚✨

@@valtern1200 What I wanted to say is that personally I don't identify myself at all with the pirate aesthetic, it's a "historical character" that doesn't particularly attract me, so when the festival announced this year's theme, it didn't make me feel a great emotion. However (and surprisingly) the feeling that I had when I was in front of the main stage was the one that I described in the previous comment: I could see something different from what I expected and it was incredible!!! 🔥🔥🔥 But of course I respect this year's choice and the tastes that people may have! I'm glad you liked it too!

Inderdaad !!! Weet je wat ik haat ? Mensen die bullshit verkopen !!! Het type mensen dat almaar lopen te kankeren dat er niet gedanst of gehakt wordt en dat mensen enkel stilstaan en met hun smartphone staan te filmen. Deze mensen zijn vast in jaaaaaren niet meer naar een festival geweest. De mensen die dat wel (nog) doen weten wel beter. Er wordt de fucking ganse dag gehakt en gedanst. Maar tijdens het laatste uur trekt iedereen naar de mainstage om de lasershow en de endshow te zien, dan staat IEDEREEN opeengepakt voor de mainstage en is er vrijwel geen plaats meer om te hakken. Ik bedoel maar...Dominator duurt van 11h tot 23h. Niemand kan 12h aan 1 stuk doorhakken !!! Tegen 22h heb ik gewoon stijve en pijnlijke benen van een hele dag te hakken en rond te lopen. En dat geldt voor de meesten onder ons !!! Dus waarom zou je niet filmen tijdens het laatste uur ??? Ieders benen zijn dan toch verzuurd en er is simpelweg te weinig plaats om nog te dansen. Maar dat begrijpen mensen die niet naar festivals gaan niet...zij denken dat mensen de hele dag stilstaan en enkel maar filmen. Ze zouden beter zelf eens naar een festival gaan alvorens zulk een domme "vroeger dansten mensen tenminste" comment te plaatsen. De sfeer was gewoonweg supergoed en mensen hebben zich de hele dag suf gefeest !!! Zelfs tijdens de regenbuien bleven de meesten lekker doorhakken.

There with my friends, enjoying our first Dominator, we wanted to go there since more than 12 years, around 19h we receive a phone call from the sitter who's taking care of our dog, he escaped from her house and took a bus to go back home.. so we had to leave and missed everything, of course the end show as well.. so it's nice I can see it now, with my dog next to me❤🎉 2024 I will come and I won't miss not even 1 sec from next Dominator, even all what happened, best experience of my life💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥

I can tell you exactly why that is, bc I was there. At those festivals people film A LOT LESS THAN YOU MIGHT THINK !!! People were dancing all day long, it's just that everyone wants to witness the endshow. During the endshow there's so many people packed toghetter at the mainstage that there's simply no place left to dance, you just keep bumpin' into eachother at every move you make. And my legs were completely gone by 22h...My legs and feet were sore from walking around and dancing all day. And I think that's the same for a lot of people. After partying from 11h to 23h straight...you can feel the soreness in your legs. So, those are the 2 main reasons why you see so many people filming during the endshow. Sore legs and no place left to dance during the final hour of the festival. Please keep that in mind next time before posting a bullshit comment. It's easy to make a cheap comment about those festivals when you didn't even attend yourself. The atmosphere and people there were awesome, everyone danced their asses of all day long...even during the heavy rain showers. During the day, people are more spreaded over the different stages. So, during the day there's more room to dance. But everyone goes to the mainstage to witness the final hour and the endshow. Than people are packed toghetter like a can of sardines.

@@laurazucchiatti8761 It's totally different being there compared to just watching these kinda clips at home. It gives you a different point of view. During those 12 hours, people film on average 15 to 30 min. It's not like people are just standing still all day just watching and filming. Hakken (dancing to Hardcore) is very intensive...you can't do that for 12 hours on end. And during the final hour everybody's getting tired. Standing there packed closely toghetter, often the only thing you can do is putting your arms and hands into the air. So why not film the show ??? At least that way you can enjoy the party again when you come home, still buzzin'. Yes, the aftermovies and sets filmed by the organisation are way better quality than what you capture on your phone. But it often takes weeks, even months before those are put online. When I come home...still buzzing with adrenaline, I want to relive those moments asap. At that time I love people uploading there images to You-Tube within hours after the festival is finished.
