It's unfortunate that so many women in these touristic areas have such crappy behavior. At the end,it all sums up to where you look for love. You're not going to find a stable,independent woman in these places. If you go to the Santo Domingo or even Santiago,you wouldn't find so much scam. It all sums up to how these women are raised and the mentality they grow up with which is fucked up and embarrassing to me as a dominican,born and raised. I work for my own things and I don't see myself getting a guy's money nor looking for a guy to give me all. I'm an university graduate, master's degree and a good job and I don't need no man's money. I think I'd rather sell stuff on the street before depending on a man.

Good article. I met a girl off of Dominican Cupid. We talked almost 2 years each time I visited Dr to see her there was excuses. But she wanted money. Finally I had used common sense and leave her alone. But when I left her alone she sent me a nude video of herself requested money of $200 for me and then said I'm going to call the police on you if you don't give me the money. Good video 👍👍👍 am Dominican living in Santo Domingo (capital) .....I see expats making the same mistakes over and over again.... Taylor made, made many mistakes and was starting to get burned before he left .....there's a couple of things one should do if your thinking of making D.R. your home ....if your thinking about staying long term, you should learn the language and get out of the tourist areas....get involved in the Dominican culture (this will prevent many issues down the line) don't try to make a hoe a girlfriend/housewife (see this alot) this is where being in good standing with the locals will help.... there's many good women in the D.R. but again you have to get out of the tourist areas and learn the language......learn the local economy, the Dominican currency is pesos NOT dollars .... Dominican woman do love their Dominican men, but it's because we wear the pants in the relationships.... Dominican woman are programed to respect and follow a man who takes charge... Not vice a versa ..... hopefully this info might help someone with making the move to the D.R. painless.....you are correct about getting her an apartment and NOT moving her to yours, just make sure the apartment is in her name, so if things don't work out, you could walk away .....

These scams have been going on for years in the DR. Only thing that has changed is the players. I lived in Moca and I will tell you the only way to find love is to be among friends. These expats who live here know that girls will try to live with you as soon as the know you live there and own a house. That happens to be their long game. If you sit back and observe you’ll see what goes on here. Some girls who are chapiadoras they won’t waste their time with me once i set limits with them. Remember guys if you just want a wild time and keep it that way you can still have a good time. Sometimes I even think it’s fun when you can be with 3 in one day. Lol. With all that said I’ve seen so many guys fall in love with them and you can’t tell them anything else. Some dude it takes them up to 5 years to learn and even fewer never learn. When I get hit up for money I immediately ghost them. Sometimes a few try to go out of their way to contact me when money becomes scarce.
