Saugeil!❤❤❤ Hier hört man 1. Wie gut diese Kontrabassisten sind und 2. Was für ein genialer Komponist Mercury war! Schade, dass es ihn nicht mehr gibt - oder "nur" noch in seiner Musik.

Es gibt ihn noch. In jeder Note, jedem Ton seiner Musik. Oder frei nach Pratchett: Kein Musiker ist je tot, solange noch ein Ton seiner Musik gespielt wird.

Eine hervorragende, einmalige Interpretation. Farrokh Bulsaras Werk, das die Popgruppe Queen unter dem Namen Bohemian Rhapsodie spielte, wurde noch nie in einem dermaßen hohen künstlerischen Niveau dargeboten. Vielen herzlichen Dank für das einzigartige Hörerlebnis!

Verrückt, dass der Solobassist des WPO auf seinem Lemböck, der Ludwig Streicher gehörte, nur die Begleitung spielt.

There have been a lot of versions for different instruments, but every single one that I’ve heard is note for note. That is how highly everyone regards the original.

Beautiful. The first section is amazing, I like the dynamics, wonderful pianissimo at around 1:30. However there are, IMO, a few weird things in the galileo section, and I don't think the "rock" section makes justice. The only arrangement that I've so far heard which managed to truly make justice to the original and in certain ways maybe surpass it is the orchestra version by Nicholas Hersh with a solo viola. Anyways, the double bass is such an underrated instrument and the "aria" sections sound magnificent.
