I really like the idea that there is unit which is immune to machine gun fire and you can use it to crush people just by walking on them. it's a simple mechanic but i don't remember games which used it (although i didn't play a lot of strategies). Still, when i was a kid and discovered it was a big WOW. Also to see soldiers jumping to warm up is a very neat detail.

You're playing on 1.0's Easy, aren't you? On 1.2, especially Intermediate or Advanced, those autocannon towers will SHRED armor.

@@Seraphinexx The Hunter really has that much armor? I'm shocked, because the AC towers completely shred Breach Makers.

@@endymallorn bipeds+ are immune to machine gun fire, except Merc weapons. thats how they are used, to draw fire, especially autocannons. difficulty only seems to change starting resources and nothing else... breach makers are arty, with minimal armor and low hp... they make up for this with firepower and range

@@cobrazax Actually difficulty does impact the game more than that. Just try the 1st human mission on various difficulties. On easy you are met by just energy beacons, while on advanced you are greeted by rocket towers and have no choice but to flank them. It is much more difficult to breach bases some bases in the later missions, since they have fully tiered outer defences and have many more towers littered everywhere in their core base.

@@PersonyPerson Ok so mostly starting resources and some defenses. The rocket tower doesnt reload I think due to low power
