Hope you've had enough fun with Dom 5 that you play this one again. I'd love to watch you attempt a Blood Magic nation, and maybe attempt one of the interesting user-made maps on the WOrkshop.

A potential reason why green doesn't have big armies is if they've been recruiting puny humans who've been getting diseased by their Dominion. C'Tis kinda has to rely on cold-blooded lizards or anyone with swamp survival

love your gameplay Devin. can't wait for the Oriental Empires revisit. i have heard you talking about your surplus footage and unironically i would watch 5 hours straight of this amazing gameplay with occasional commentary/eating and drinking sounds

2 Enemies down, one without effort one with a lot of effort (well yellow is about to die). The deciding fight against yellow was actually that big brawl with high losses on both sides where they retreated. Retreated troops need to reach a friendly province, and with you owning most bordering provinces I`d guess a high number died on the retreat. Also remember there are two ways to recruit troops one with money and one with gems. The gem troops (fire snakes, summer lions, undead etc) usually don`t need money. All said I see only one serious contender/enemy left with you a clear superior. I`d probably declare victory after destroying their mighty stack rather than siege down the million of forts (that AI went nuts...). Plenty of ways to do it, some sophisticated like say finly equipped commanders or special battlefield magic affecting the whole army, some brute force like remote magic or a bigger blob of units. Wonder what you use to call it a victory. Certainly have earned it and now know how to play the game. Well my theory is it`s impossible to really know how to play this game, but you`ve come far in understanding its insanity from anti-intuitive overlay over complex units to the multi-layered magic system. Insanity is a nice fit for your fraction has it as it`s theme (the look, void gates; dominion slight chance to turn commanders insane... I think... or was it late age Ryley... )

if you're reading the comments and haven't finished the game yet, you should switch it up and just focus on items and magic, particularly summoning magic. 1 unit could fight all those armies.
