As a bi woman with a straight best friend (honestly the orientations aren’t important but just clarifying), I have to tell you it isn’t uncommon in hyperclose friendships (completely platonic, no romantic feelings at all). It’s just a level of comfort that translates into a lot of affection and touching. We’d be at work and she’d reach her hand out behind her and I’d hold it and we’d work like that for several minutes. Or that scenario but she’d turn around and we’d just stare and smile at each other and squeeze said connected hands. Or one of us would be on the phone and the other would walk by and ruffle the others hair or graze a shoulder. Etc etc. Just the comfort of someone feeling like home

They are gorgeous. I'm so glad to hear that Dom is a vegan tho. And I totally understand why people ship them in real life. They have such a good chemistry. But they also portray Wayhaught very well. That couple is so beautiful, soft and meaningful. We can see love in their eyes on screen and that is priceless. They are really good actresses. So I totally get why people fantasize about Dom and Kat together. It's like having wayhaught becoming real. Anyway, as long as people respect that Dom and Kat are just really good friends and respect their private lives, they can fantasize secretly about them being together. I see no problem about it.

That trouble is that some people don't keep that so private, and I do think it is disrespectful to the actors to mix up their real selves with their characters too much. I can wonder whether Dom is on the queer spectrum myself, but I do think it's rude to discuss it too much if she prefers to remain quiet about her romantic life. As for Kat, she is a married woman. I find it strange that some people who criticised Waverly for "cheating" with Rosita (for one kiss!) are happy to speculate in a particular way on their real lives. The most important thing is that Dom and Kat are wonderful in their roles, they really care about doing this thing with justice and respect for their characters, and they are so strong and positive about their feminism and the importance of representation... I am so so grateful for their thoughtful portrayal of these great characters. The reason I like to watch these vids with their "cute moments" in real life that it is really special and sweet that they're so close as friends and colleagues, and of course it affects their portrayal of their characters as well. And it's nice to see people you "care" about in an abstract sense be affectionate to each other. But we must keep respecting them as PEOPLE first and not just fantasy objects - and I do think 99.999% of us do. I'm happy to imagine all kinds of things about their *characters* - that's the purpose of fiction, after all! But it's important to remind the few of us that take it a little bit too far that they need to remember the difference between reality and fantasy. It's hard to be a celebrity, especially with characters that we get so invested in - let's remember not make it harder or uncomfortable for these amazing women.
