I have a friend that sets an alarm for 3:16 everyday. At that time She stops and prays John 3:16 for all lost people she knows and doesn’t know. I now do the same. In Sunday school class in 1976 a lady said as soon as her feet touch the floor she starts thanking Jesus for allowing her feet to touch the floor and all the other blessings she has. It took a few years for a young self to get in this habit. I’m 71 and many days I stay in gratitude conversation with Jesus. Friends use to laugh when I’d turn in a faucet and say “Thank you for safe running water”. I explained in South America, China and some other places I’ve visited I can’t do that. There I need to be mindful not to drink or use the faucet water. Each moment of breath I take is a gift from God worthy of being Thanked for.

Last year started a holistic health journey for me (mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically). I will continue much of what I did in 2024. I will write three words this year: Assertiveness, Surrender, and Grace. assertiveness because I have been shy and passive all my (52) years of life. surrender because God needs to be my number one person. and grace because I need to give myself the same grace I give to others.

Daily I pray over my Prayer Box , which I have had since 1990. Each year I write out my plans/ dreams for the new year and put it in the Box to pray over. One of my Spiritual Gifts is serving others. I ask for my eyes to be open to opportunities to serve others. It’s amazing the opportunities to serve when I open myself up to go and do what God has planned for me. Keep the videos coming ❤️

Balance has always been important in my life. My dad taught me balance. He said enjoy life but do everything in moderation. He said even good things in excess are not good. I feel very uncomfortable when i am not in balance. Boundaries - i discover this 3 years ago and i have to say it makes a big difference in my life. Boundaries solve many problems for me such as there is a line where i don't cross over and don't allow others to cross over. Even if my intention is good, but if I cross over the other person's boundary, my action will not be appreciated. Boundaries provide space for everyone involved, and sometime we have to stand up and say NO you are crossing over to my space so Stop. We tend to take care of everyone and have little time for ourselves. We should take care of ourselves first so we can take care of others around us...

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. 20 The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen..." God has taught me that He works in the circumstances (boundary lines) of my life and to watch for His hand. "Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." Psalm 16:5,6

Dominque I truly appreciate all of the content you offer and the sponsors you select. You provide so much quality to this space. Having lost my husband Feb 1st of 2023 I believe the Lord led me to your podcasts and I'm so grateful He did. I always look forward to each video you make. Your words of encouragement, empowerment, sharing makeup, fashion, family, friends, home and life in general have been such a Blessing. Yes, I can see why you refer to this as your "passion project" because you put your heart and soul into every podcast you do. Thank you for all you do for this community. My prayers are that 2025 will be one of the best years ever and I pray the Lord will send me the husband of my dreams!

If you live your life each day with the intentions you mentioned, along with gratitude, a spiritual well being and vulnerability, you don't have to have the pressures of renewing yourself each year. Look around and be thankful for your life right now. Be thankful for your family, friends, health and your home. Nothing lasts forever.

God bless you Dominique, this has been very refreshing I so agree with so much of what has been shared . For this year of 2025 I am going to be intentional about boundaries , not being responsible for what’s nots mine, reading the Bible in a year is my intention , the word of living waters . I agree hurting people hurt people . Focusing on my positive thoughts. There is so much cynical in our world today .

one of my goals this year is to be in the YouVersion app every day. I'm in a group that's going to be reading through the Bible in a year, and that's been a big help because i get a push notification when someone comments, which reminds me to do my reading if i haven't already. lately, it's been what i listen to on the way in to work in the morning. I also want to work out more this year and focus on maintaining relationships and not letting anyone slip through the cracks.

I’d love to hear a future podcast on starting a new business during retirement. I’m leaving a 26+ year career at 60, moving to the Atlanta area, and forming an LLC as an international business consultant. Exciting but a bit daunting, especially navigating this transition before Medicare age. It would be great to connect with other women starting new ventures during this stage of life-so much to share and learn. Looking forward to all you’ll bring in 2025!

My Words for 2025 Boundaries. This year, I will honor myself by setting and maintaining boundaries-with the people around me, with unhealthy habits, and even with my own thoughts when they lead me astray. I will learn to balance relaxation and activity, creating a rhythm that supports both healing and joy. Bonding. I will deepen the connections that matter most-to the people I love and, perhaps most importantly, to myself. I will nurture relationships built on trust and care, fostering moments of shared laughter, understanding, and growth. Peace. I will embrace inner peace by releasing the weight of past traumas, forgiving myself for old guilt, and finding calm amid the stress of work and life. I will create space within for serenity, clarity, and the quiet confidence to move forward. This is my vision for 2025-a year of healing, connection, and balance. ❤

I really liked your podcast this week. I have a question and please don’t take it the wrong way but when did you start becoming so “holy”? I’m asking because the last year or 2 you’ve been sharing you faith with your audience. Year ago when you started you tube didn’t hear you mention your faith at all. Don’t misunderstand I think it’s great but did you always feel this connection to God and if so why haven’t you talked about in the last 10 years. I’m just curious because I think and I’ve seen once people reach a certain age all of a sudden they talk about their faith and in earlier years never heard a word. Thank you.
