Sucky baby wet pants #34 couldn't care less about the Leafs winning..#34 will pull himself out of the lineup when they need him most in the playoffs with some mysterious ailment/injury...Berube should cuff him in the back of the head when he's on the bench, preferably when the camera's on him...BOOOOOOO #34. It's obvious they play better when #34 is not in lineup, so they'd probably win a couple rounds if he wasn't playing..hahaha

The answer is that since he has arrived he hasn’t done very much however he may have improved the bottom line which is really his goal more than a Stanley Cup because after all the ownership team is an entertainment company not a hockey company.

There’s no question that Mathews is an elite scorer, but he plays soft. When he’s in the lineup, the team plays soft. When the team plays soft, they exit the playoffs in the early rounds. Trade Mathews, keep Marner.

If there's any criticism of Shanny, it was putting his trust in a rookie GM that was polar opposite to his own thoughts of how to create a team. ie heavy hockey. Having Tre and Berube in place is the way. I hope it wasn't too late for Shanny's sake.
