G-man is kinda being unfair to Gordon in that line "uncappable or unwilling to perform the task". Gordon made everything G-man asked, at the literal sense, with maestry.

Well, the Vordigons (sorry if spelt wrong) did help Gordon disobey G-Man's "order" to be put back in stasis (at the beginning of Half-Life 2: Episode 1), thus letting events be "nudged" a little too much. That little too intense nudge was probably the causality of the death of Eli Vance, which the G-Man did not want happen. That's at least my explanation for G-Man's harshness

@@tollburd1348 The death ef Eli was orchestated by Gman after Gordon was saved by the Vorts and start to doing his own with Alyx, then the Combine somehow managed to capture the Gman in the past leading us to the events of Half Life Alyx. Alyx unknowingly frees the Gman from the Vault and then uses the death of Eli in the future to fool Alyx into accept the job Gordon wasn't doing anymore. When you think about it the death of Eli wasn't necessary until Gordon disobeys the Gman and, like you said in your comment, events were nudged too much given the interest of Gman's employers.

@@Cysco8575 Half Life Alyx - g-man clearly stated the combine removed from earth was not in his employers interest, so humanity welfare not his concern while it is Gordon and the vorts, so everything Gordon does in the episodes is against G-mans plans, i also assume that the death of the Advisor will cause massive retaliation by the combine, nugging things back to how G-man wants them to be, also G-man can threaten to revert the change and allow her dad to die if she does not obey

@@sword4005 Yeah, is a clever way to manipulate her into doing his bidding by threatening Eli's life and even Gordon's since Alyx care about him too but the thing is that past Alyx doesn't know Gordon but future Alyx does and she dissapeared too at the end of Episode 2 after Gman make past Alyx kill the Advisor.

At least now we have an official model for Gordon on Source 2 to use it! Edit: It is like a HL3 script, at some point Gordon will look back at what happened between Alyx and Gman while he nad Gman is standing side by side talki ... I I uhaha I mean Gman talking. (wonder when Valve gonna hire Ross Scott for Gordon). You really made this as a HL3 plot, good job!

@kyle the I said a "source 2" model. Beside, that model you are talking about from HL1 is a "player model" while in HL Alyx it is an "npc model", the first time ever Valve make an "npc model" for Gordon. As for the one in Blue Shift and Opposing Force, the game was made by Gearbox not Valve.

You did a great job with Gordon and G-Man's subtle facial animations! G-man's finger gun was a refreshing bit of sass coming from someone so reserved as the G-Man! Character acting goes a long way in giving character's their appeal. The small movements and looking around, the movement of the pacing was nice to look at, but the lip syncing and Alyx's emoting needs work. The cinematography carried a lot of the presentation, so I hope you keep getting creative with your camera work. :)

*So if G-Man "hires" Alyx BEFORE HL2, then that means HL2 and everything AFTER should be wiped from continuity. But yet the ending shows the ending of Ep2 like everything still happened as if Alyx had still been there, with the exception of Eli's death. But that can't be since Alyx was taken away BEFORE all that. Her being taken BEFORE HL2 means that history should have progressed very differently, as time is a linear progression from cause to effect. If she's taken in the PAST she logically shouldn't be able to be taken in the future, as that future can't happen without her presence.*

"Unforeseen Consequences" -- I remember that flashing on my screen back in 2001; very tastefully short and simple, when I first played Half Life, and that, as they say, was that, for me. I fell in love with FPS games, in particular, due entirely to Half Life. Thanks, Valve...I guess...lol (how many years did I lose? It doesn't matter now. I'm too old to worry about it at this point). btw, the Lambda symbol, as applied to physics, deals with wavelength; and, is specific to the Weak Nuclear Force ... but don't base your dissertation on my info...ha ha... Nice work. I enjoyed your Mission Series quite a lot. That was damn good.

But then in the after credits scene, theyre acting like the game played out exactly the same up to Eli's death. Or maybe it's G-man trying to keep Gordon doing his bidding, because if he doesn't G-man will just make Alyx do his job instead. It would show Gordon that resisting is futile, and it's better for everyone if he does as he is told. However, I would also say that perhaps G-Man could wipe the minds of his "employees", and Alyx didn't know that her helping Gordon later on was his wish. That's just what I can come up with. However that's just speculation, and valve probably has a better twist in mind.

I think there’s a couple very small things Valve could’ve done to improve the familiarity/quality of the character models: 1: Eyelashes on the character models 2: Darker green irises for Alyx 3: Darker eyebrows for Eli 4: More proportional chestplate on the HEV suit 5: More slender body and tighter suit for G-Man 6: Less silver metallic bits on D0g 7: Shorter necks and smaller foreheads for every character model 8: Better quality hair rendering -9: Purple underwear on Alyx- Also, I’m not a huge fan of the stylized look of the character models. I’m okay with them taking artistic liberties for the fictional stuff, but the humans just look weird.

Bantabury Yup. I completely believe the idea that these are unfinished models, probably because you barely see friendly NPCs in the game. Wouldn’t make sense to model Gordon when you barely see him in Alyx, and even if you used the model in first person, nobody would notice.
