@fUzErR Glad you found it useful. The F-2 is the most versatile bag I've tried in the Domke range. Besides holding a mix of this sort of gear, I've also discovered it's great for schlepping around Hasselblad V-series stuff. I may do a video demonstrating that.

It doesn't really worry me. I'm generally pretty careful with my gear. However, it's probably a good idea to put non-essentials into the side pockets, anyway. The pockets themselves are a bit of padding, if they are not filled.

@hidekin You probably should look up Domke's dimensions on the web. However, I have an F-3X, and side-by-side it and the F-2 have a lot of similarities. The F-2 is about 4" wider (width = longest dimension), and looks a bit deeper than the F-3X. The F-2 has, IMO, much more useable compartments than the F-3X, and can carry more variety of gear, IMO (though I love the F-3X for my big Fuji 6x9 rangefinder). The F-2 does not have the nice big front pocket that the F-3X has.

@warpandwest No, the 13" Macbook won't go (my 11" MacBook Air won't even go). I don't know what the backpack can do. Maybe look at the F-808, or other larger Domke bags. Good luck!

@fUzErR I wouldn't try to put you off a Billingham. One thing I like about Domke bags, though, is they go with my no-style style (T-shirts and cargo shorts). The Billinghams are so very nice I'd have to start dressing better :-). I have an F-5XB too, and it is a GREAT walkaround bag, for sure. You really can't go wrong with it for a smaller kit.

The RB is a bit bigger than the 500c/m (I believe). I think it would be too tight a fit. Depending upon how much extra gear you carry, the Think Tank Retrospective 10 might be a better bet (?). Admittedly I haven't actually tried a Retro 10, but I've tried the Retro 7. The 10 is bigger than the 7, and the 7 holds my Hassy just right. Please see my video review of the Retro 7 and see what you think.

what's the size of it ? i own a domke f-3x and i'm thinking to buy something bigger. i'm really pleased with the domke f-3x but sometimes not big enough

Thanks for the review!! I have a 6D with a few fast primes and a 16-35. I know this bag will fit everything, but I hear your comment about carrying daily would be "insane". Of course, full bag would be heavy. Let's say I were to only back the 6D with an extra lens or two and a bottle of water or snacks... even when packed lightly would you recommend this bag? I'm looking for one bag that I can use daily with just a few select items, but that can also be packed full for travel days. I appreciate any feedback... thanks again for the awesome reviews!

+Justin Borja I'd say it's a great all-around bag, even though it might be a tiny bit large if you're not packing a lot. it's not terribly heavy on its own, IMO. If you haven't already, check out my video(s) on alternative inserts for the bag, too. That might give you some more ideas.

I know this is a super old video but I've got a quick question not sure if you would know the answer mike but I'd rather ask than not would you happen to know if you can treat the domke f2 with wax to make it properly waterproof or will that ruin the bag

That's a good question. Seems like you could do it yourself, but my guess is unless you get it "just right", you'll be unhappy with the results. You might consider just spraying it with a DWR product.

You can buy a version of it with a waxed surface. I believe it's called the rugged wear or some such thing. Same prices as this one.

Whew, this is an OLD video :-). I don’t have the bag any more, but I really didn’t worry about keeping it clean when I had it. I have heard of people throwing them in the wash, but it will break down what little structure there is, and soften the canvas, I’d think.

@@alyhgonz807 Oh, I see. They are nice. I have the waxed F10. If you go waxed, then you just let it get grungy, and re-wax (maybe) from time to time, IMO.
