7×11×13=1001. That's why you can take ABC, do the trick and get ABCABC, then doing again with a small enough number will result in ABCXYZABC where XYZ as a 3 digit number is ABC × 2

7*11*13 = 1001 1001*a = 1000a + a Chosing any random three digit integer for a would result in having that theee digit number: abc times 1000 = abc000 and adding that number again ; abc000 + abc = abcabc This works for 1001^n * a where a is a three digit number and a is less than 1001/n where n is an integer between 1 and 693.

Hey so i found something that’s pretty cool. I figured this out when i was around 10 or 11, im 13 now and have been waiting to tell someone. So, grab any four digit number. Take the absolute value of the difference between the first and second digits, then take that as the first digit of the new number. Then repeat this for the 2nd and 3rd digit, 3rd and 4th digit, but then you do the difference between the last and 1st digit. The new number should be an entire different number, but repeat this process now again for the new number. Repeat this enough times for literally any number and it will always eventually come out to 0000. I honestly have no idea how this works but it does, and its pretty fun to mess around with on some notebook paper.

Hahaha pointing out that it’s the 4th, 5th, and 6th primes feels like a misdirection because the real important number is 1,001 which would be the case no matter what its prime factorization would be for this trick. Basically you’re multiplying your original number by 1, and then by one again but moving the decimal three places to the right. Multiplying by different powers of 1,001 yields similar results. The example gives you multiplying your number by 1,002,001 which is why it doesn’t work for numbers bigger than 499. The next power of 1,001 is 1,003,003,001 which shouldn’t work for numbers larger than 333. I think you get 333,999,999,333. Neat math trick! Thanks for sharing!

But what I find much more interesting and which I have not yet seen or heard even mentioned, anywhere, is any clue as to how these number-curiosities are discovered in the first place. - I mean, the possibilities are *infinite*-which suggests that there is at least one such number-curiosity associated with *every* number. and 7×11×13013×1001=1003003001. Because if you take ABC and do the trick thrice, if your number is less than 334, you get ABCDEFDEFABC. Where DEF is a 3 digit number that is ABC × 3. Otherwise the 1st 3 digits won't add up to your non-100-to-333-3-digit integer.
@reznovvazileski3193
@reznovvazileski3193 3 ай бұрын
First one works because 7*11*13 = 1001. By how the decimal system works, it pretty much concetenates the number to itself times 1, which is the number itself at an interval of 3 since every 3rd spacing past the first 1 is also a one. The second one is more interesting. This happens because the middle three numbers will always be number*2 since 1001^2 = = 1002001. 499 is fine here and evades any problems, but once you go 500 it will make 1000 and carry over a 1 into your first three digits.
