love Garfish Dom, plenty of them here in Melbourne at the moment they are big, bread burley is the key to keep them around and maggots seems to work well ..😀👌🐟🐟🐟🐟

A trick I learned was soak them in white vinegar, the acid begins to break down the bones before cooking. When cooked the vinegar actually isn't an overpowering flavour more subtle than you'd expect

garfish are beautiful sweat fish, a bit of a pain to fillet at first but once you get the hang of it they are easy. people complain about bones but if u fillet them like dom u dont need to worry about the rib cage and the pin bones cook out because they are so small.

Hello. I remember when i was a kid catching garfish of the east coast of England. At that time everyone told me to throw them back as they were poisonous to eat due to the green bones they have. Just an old wives tale but as a kid you don't take chances. Lol.

Ok big fella you get a 10/10 for the way you cleaned and cooked that mini marlin this week 👍 a definite Reddy approved recipe 👍when I was a kid I caught 1000’s of them with my father and brother, dad used to just scale them and then run them over with a wooden pastry roller and then mum used to cook them like chips . Cheers 🐔🍻🍻🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓
