earlytimessc If you really like that and your a super nerd you could maybe read Jean Dubuffet, Asphyxiating Culture and other Writings. Its basiccally a thesis on how the observers eye warps the artist against true creative expression, and that type of thingy

Anybody know of any artists doing West Coast Traditional tattoos like Ed used to do before he retired? I guess most good artists could do em' but the great one's really put their hearts and souls into a particular niche, like Ed. Preferably out West, I may add. Thanks.

Thanks Brynn, I would totally go get ink there if I were a lttle closer. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll try to hone it down for anyone looking in...AZ or Vegas...traditional like Brynn is pointing out. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Might as well go to the source if you're looking for that. Freddy Corbin in Oakland. Temple Tattoo or Tattoo 13, both shops are owned by Freddy. He worked for Ed for years at Realistic and at Tattoo City.

The pscychological make up of the panther expresses the predatory nature or animalistic expression of the human instinct being repressed by guilt but expressed by rebellion, giving a sense of free spirit freedom in a display of art form. And so on with other creatures or mythical images, from what I gather of what Ed Hardy's says.

These days he would need a face tattoo and a pitchfork publicist. Am i right? Ha. These days he is extremely famous with his art. He pioneered an entire artform...there isnt eben such a thing as "art" these days. Just rejashing and recycling of old themes before art in this country was killed in favor of tge endless "free" access rippibg off the hard work of generations of artist, othereise known an youtube
