I loved Don's edgy humor but toward the end of his illustrious career he became more grumpy and grouchy then funny. Zeroing in on Brian Williams and directing his "yes men" to follow his lead was a bad sign for Don Imus as he seemed to be going for the easy kicking a guy when he's down and he was usually the opposite. Don was starting to lose a little off the fast ball here but for a 50 year career in radio that is not bad to decline in year 47.

Once, a long time ago when radios had tubes Don Imus may have been cutting edge or at least relevant. Any station that broadcasts his program now must realize that the only ones tuning in are residents of The Angry Old White Guys Retirement Home.

Imus was clearly declining rapidly in the last few years. He seemed grouchy and grumpy more than funny and was no longer relevant. That happening in year 47 of a 50 year career is not too bad. He had a great career.

David Dinkins, Bill Clinton, Gore, John Kerry, etc. He moved to the right after he was crucified and abandoned over the ill-advised Rutgers comments. He was against the Iraq War from Day 1 but stood up for and supported the vets by raising money and visiting Walter Reed Medical Center on multiple occasions.
