Loved the interview. Well done to the interviewer for asking controversial questions with so much finesse. It wasn't awkward at all.

Ovie did a magnificent job in these interviews; he asked the questions we wanted and guided the conversation towards the clarity we needed.

I think Don Jazzy deserves more credit for the revolution of the Nigerian music industry than he is getting. Other producers have upped their games today because Don Jazzy raised the standard. Take my bow, Don!

I always like the fact that Don J never tried to sound foreign or slang like many fake celebrities do in Nigeria / African.....

Seriously, I began listening to west African music for a difference and it is aggravating to hear Nigerians trying to envelope American empty verbiage and sound. It lessens the authenticity and sounds confusing.its like "whaaaaaaaahhhhh hannnnnnn no dont do that?..??"
@aderich2476 жыл бұрын
There isn't big deal sounding foreign in foreign language anyway. The fact that he chose to speak/sound this way is his choice and whoever chooses to sound close to original accent shouldn't be castigated.

It's not something someone tries to do, it is more of something you pick up and get accustomed to.

They need to start making more music using actual instruments...all these computer music sounds the same. I was very young but remember Sir Victor Uwaifo, Sunny Ade, Fela, Bright Chimeze, Salawa Abeni, Kollington Ayinla, and co using real instruments. The new music tunes are catchy but I just can't enjoy them because my ears prefer instruments...even simple talking drum is not used anymore...I didn't understand most of the words but the music was fantastic and I loved dancing to them....please bring real sound to the music so that we can enjoy it better.
