Tassa has NOTHING to do with African rhythms!! In fact, it is far more lively and rhythmic than steel drum music. Fool your self, but not others who know better. Your statement is absolutely wrong! People make comments like this because they hate to give Indian people the credit for Indian music and culture.

He’s not wrong there are many influential tassa drummers that listen to other styles of drumming to create new hands in tassa, one on of Trinidad’s greatest said it himself Mr. Lenny Kumar
