I am a newcomer to AA, 90 days sober yesterday. My sponsor suggested i listen to Don Pritz, as my sponsor is a link in Don's lineage. I am grateful & blessed to have an awesome sponsor & what my sponsor is helping me with, sounds very much like what Don Fritz talks about. I humbly believe God led me to meet my sponsor as it happened just by chance. ,🙏. And now I too, am part of this lineage 🩷. I am in Australia 🌏

Susan, great to hear you are sober. I went to a meeting last night, Croydon, Victoria & usually go to alanon & AA in Nambour Queensland. We are so very fortunate🙏Each of the 12 step programs including NA and GA are Wonderful. Getting rid of:my character defects is an every day process. Being kind to everyone, now that's a real positive, now I am actively aware. Best wishes and to each person reading this..each of us 'didn't know, what we didnt know'. I am so thankful and grateful.

I cannot say enough about Don, In 1990 this man got on his knees with me and we both said the 3rd step prayer together, he told me the battle is over, that experience changed my life forever, Don taking his time in helping me did not just keep me sober, It kept me from spending the rest of my life in the State penitentiary, Thank you Brother Don, for all you have done for so many of us. They don't make them like that anymore.

It's really hard to believe that he died 17 years ago today. A whole generation of members never got to meet him. He was a friend and surrogate grandfather to me.

Thank you so much I just set on my couch yesterday with my 35-year-old son and actually connected and shared and listen to music of old rock and roll songs in his day today and I'm so grateful I've had this home and I've given him home too I've been able to establish more of them when I ever thought I could only because someone set with me years ago and read the book of Alcoholics Anonymous to me cuz I could not read days and I am forever grateful that I do have God in my life and I'm very grateful to hear this today thank you God bless you

I know EXACTLY how you feel man. I was in the exact same spot. There are many others in AA who know what it is like. Check out a meeting in your area or keep listening to our speakers and see if you can relate. Feel free to reach out and email me as well. We are here for ya, and know EXACTLY what it is like to want to stop, but not being able to. Thanks to AA though, I was able to stop, and I have an amazing and wonderful life now as well. YOU can have those things too! :)

Met Don in 1983, to check out Bob O who became my 2nd Sponsor. Wasn't impressed with Don--until he became my Grandsponsor and I got to know him. A wonderful man. RIP, Don!
