First ,I saw his name and wondered, 'is this the same Don?' But the minute you mentioned models, I knew. I had the honor and privilege of working with Don at Webb AFB. They closed down the operation at Biloxi and transferred it to Webb. He was a true gentleman and leader. Thanks for the memory sir.

In my time in the Air Force, at Edwards AFB, my office mate was a pilot. He named his son William. I guess you can figure out where he did his pilot training.

I knew Don very well. I knew Fred even better as he was my Dad. 🙂 Don was absolutely amazing with model airplanes. Stunning work. He was always Uncle Don. Great to hear these stories from my cousin.

@KellyEllerbrock Kelly, I am so glad you found the video! I told the story at QBs and was so impressed how many guys came up and shared even more stories about your Dad! I am glad I knew him in later years!
