The game is pretty cool, scratches an itch that CIV never could. The flow of UI and gameplay is a bit weird thouh, CIV is much more streamlined in some cases. (like putting the tools into the improvements)

It's a thought for sure. It's complicated because the Game is giving you very little to go by. So a lot of testing. Small tip, you can stack your religious people, so send them around in at least groups of three makes a lot of things easier

Atm I always end up running out of food. All tiles taken and still not enough food. Can't even imagine how to build something as wonder, because everything used for farms granaries workshops log camps.

You aren’t supposed to have massive cities. 30 is the max. Also secures as much goats fish bison grain etc as you can to make better food amenities. Also you need to group your farms on the most productive land. Use experts I. Farms

In Civilization you can rake in unbelievable money through religion in the late game. I miss how easy that was but this way it's more interesting cause you gotta hustle

Religion in Ara is OP. You can get some money bonuses from the verses.

Make food amenities early. Secure grain make graineries and make grain stores. A bakery zone and a butcher zone secure goats vision cows and fish. When you can make a bakery u can make preserved food which is pretty awesome. Horses for plows. Make plows for your farms as fast as possible wheels and ceramic post for granaries

What's the point of accumulating gold in this game? I haven't found any uses for it. Like purchasing buildings units etc. I get the gold per turn can be used to boost production of items but what, but is there any point on sitting on a lot of gold?

If you use gold for increased production you can put your crafting towards stuff required for wonders. That’s about the only thing I can think of that’s different from other 4x games. Haven’t left the medieval era though (keep restarting lol). So could be something late game I don’t know about.

you can use it to hurry any city construction. Like new buildings and units

Hurry up construction for buildings and units. Units will become more expensive later on and production will cost you quite a bit

No I ignored them, 4 gold not upgradable not improvable is a joke. I do plan a full blown Money maker region Video soon though
